For those of you who are just here to see pics and watch videos, please don't feel obliged to mind my rambling account. I write from personal experience (and keep a journal for myself) and much of this is for me to remember. I don't expect everyone to care about it.

The short story this: Leathermouth is as intense as could be, a huge revelation playing live, so much more than I expected. Fangirls are annoying. Please stop shrieking at Frank when he asks you to. He doesn't want to get you pregnant, he wants to play a show. Warship is really cool. MC Chris is not my thing, but he was kind of amusing and he seemed to have a great time. Reggie and The Full Effect are really tight, I like their music, James is hilarious and really fun. Pictures and videos are below.

You may feel free to skim the rest. ^_^

I got to the Crazy Donkey at 6 and sat on my car sending messages to my friends and watching band members and crew go by and bring their stuff inside. It was colder than I thought it would be and the hood of my car was the warmest place. The sunset was gorgeous and so the wait was not too bad.

I didn't want to wait on line yet. There were two girls on line and they kept air-humping towards the bus and really making a huge embarrassing scene. Then they decided to rush the bus, or rush someone coming out of the bus, but stopped when they saw a security guard. Come on, people, do we really need scenes like this? Is that seriously why you go to a concert, to harass and embarrass others and yourselves? If you think the boys are cute, that's great: We've all got eyes, and it's fun to look at cute boys etc. I look all the time. But do we really need such a primal mammalian display in public? Honestly.

Once inside, at a little after seven, I went out onto the patio where I was alone and watched things happen. I kept seeing this one guy with really beautiful, long, curly hair and thinking, "Oh wow, that kid is beautiful," but he was wearing shorts and I kept looking at his legs and second-guessing whether or not he was male. It was from a distance, but he had really slender legs and I was like, "OMG, I am checking out a chick. I am so hip." He ended up being the boy from Warship, the first band that was playing It ended up being the kid who plays bass in Warship,Darren Simoes. I guess he used to be with The Bled? He looks like a young Jake E. Lee. Anyways.

Oh, and I was wearing a cool hat:

I was writing on my Crackberry and leaning over the fence when I saw Frank go scurrying by. I didn't know where he was headed but he seemed to be in a huge hurry. (And he really does scurry. I mean some people sashay, stroll, sidle, shuffle or stalk, but he was scurrying although he is not as teeny as everyone makes him out to be. He is quite a presence: You feel him going by before you actually see him.

Anyways, so I eventually went up to the entrance and was standing there watching traffic go by when I caught sight of Frank again, and it almsot seemed as if he were having words with the guy at the front. He was there for quite a while and I imagined maybe he was telling the guy, "Hey, I'm with the band," and I wondered why he was going in the front door instead of through the green room. Anyway, he finally came in and he was racing by me but I had to say hello. I called out, "Hi Frank!" and he turned around and said, "Oh, hey! How are you doing?" He totally didn't recognize me from the last time we met (well duh, dude meets thousands of people in a week) but he was nice enough to stop his running for a second and say hi. That was really cool. Well, he was going by like his ass was in fire and his head was catching and I didn't want to keep him, so off he went.

Then Warship came on and I was pleasantly surprised, as I always am when an opening act is really good. I never expect to be into music that I don't know, but I do like to give them a chance and they are up there working so hard and I like to support that. But to my delight, I was getting into it.

I'm going to go out of order and get to MC Chris before Leathermouth, because Leathermouth was who I went to see. MC Chris wasn't really my thing, like I mentioned, but he had fun with the audience. And I did kinda like his song about Reeses Pieces.

And then LEATHERMOUTH came on! Well actually, first they went on stage to set up. Frank scurried past me two or three times because I was standing by the stage writing to someone on my Crackberry. He walked clear through the audience and no one even glanced at him (except me, I glanced.) It was like no one recognized him off stage. The other guys from Leathermouth went on stage to set up their gear, and the audience remained quiet. Then Frank went on to set up his gear and a bunch of girls shrieked at him. I mean like, overbearing, high-pitched, Beatles-esque squealing. Frank made that hand-shushing gesture towards them that said everything at once: "Don't scream for me. The show hasn't started. That's not why I'm here. This isn't MCR. I just want to play music." yet it seemed like no one understood that simple gesture because everytime he took a breath there was more shrieking. For one second it was quiet and one girl screamed out, "I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES, FRANK!" and he physically cringed, like, obviously.

Without much fanfare or even an official entrance Frank introduced the band as Leathermouth. (Even the lighting people seemed a little surprised, because the stage was still dark when he took the mic and started talking.)

Frank said, "Hi, we're Leathermouth. And you guys are Long Island." Someone must have tipped him off that Long Islanders don't tend to think of ourselves as typical New Yorkers. We are New Yorkers and we know it, but there's something about the residents here wherein we really like the fact that we are separate, both physically and culturally, from the mainland. We like to be called "Long Island." "New York" is too general for us. ^_^ He went on to say, "I'm from New Jersey, which is like twenty miles away from Long Island, but it takes six hours to get there so you might as well be on another planet." True story!

They started to play, and there is no question anymore that this is not MCR, not supposed to be MCR, is nothing like MCR and if you have come to see FRANKIEEEEE from MCR you are in the wrong effing place. (Although some people still didn't seem to grasp that. How they missed it is beyond me.) This is Leathermouth and they are angry and pure. Like I said before, a huge revelation. I'd only heard one or two of their songs because they don't have a record out yet, so I knew what to expect sound-wise, but I didn't expect what they would be like live.

This is Angry!Frank with songs about absolutely nothing going right. (FunnyGiggly!Frank made one appearance when the guitarist randomly fell down between songs. Frank said, "So this next song... WTF was that about?" and then laughed so hard he was pounding on the floor and had to take a moment before starting the next song. "I love you, man," he said, "I just f*cking love you.")

I won't list the entire setlist because they play the same ones every night and you guys all know what they are.

Frank said, "You probably have heard some of our songs, but you probably don't know the words. That's okay, sing along anyway. Just make words up, that's what I'm doing up here." And he introduced their song "This Song Is About Being Attacked By Monsters" as "This Is A Song About Monsters Breaking Into My House And I Just Don't Know What To Do" or something equally long-winded and crazy. I LOLed.

Between songs, some girl yet again screamed "I LOVE YOU FRANKIE" and he said, "We don't even know each other. That's so weird. You love the people you don't know. And you end up hating the ones you do know." Then he said, "this song is about realizing that no one has got your back." Immediately I was like, "Oh yeah, I know that feeling to hell and back, s'up ex-boss / ex-coworkers?" (Most, not all.) Anyway, that made me thrash about self-righteously and get into it.

Also, Frank went into the audience and sang, which was massively cool.

The highlight of the night for me, what I was waiting to hear, was "I'm Going To Kill The President Of The United States Of America." I have always maintained that the Secret Service is going to pop up during one of these shows and take them out for this. Nevertheless I have waited a long time to hear this song. Frank introduced it by saying, "This song is about killing the president. It's easy to say that, but..." There was a very pregnant pause here in which I held my breath. He did not finish the though. Instead he said, "I'm just waiting for the FBI to take me away."

You and me both!

I videotaped this, and I apologize for the shaky, crazy, nigh unwatchable video. I was moshing. I also apologize for me singing along. I had never heard this song before tonight but I have read the lyrics and it was pretty easy to catch on. ^_^

For my friends who don't know from Leathermouth, these are those lyrics, truncated for space:

If this is the front line, there's no hope for the world
Murdered fascists make no noise or promises

You're living a lie
Straight to hell,
straight to hell

Devils, we're raised by fucking devils,
who've been raised by fucking devils,
wearing our saviors as skins

How can I believe what you say?
Your propaganda bullshit makes me sick
I'd shed your blood to fucking save the world

You're living a lie
Straight to hell,
straight to hell

Well I'd rather have my eyes sewn shut,
than to see all the shit that we've done
And I'd rather be deaf, dumb and blind,
than to pledge allegiance to a man of your kind
Well I'd rather have my eyes sewn shut,
than to see all the shit that we've done
And I'd rather be deaf, dumb and blind,
than to pledge allegiance to a man of your kind, motherfucker

You put words in my mouth, I'd like to put a bullet in yours

I'll send you to hell,
send you to hell
You're goin' to hell with me, motherfucker

It was very freeing to scream defiantly along to that.

Of note: Frank sang one line into a safety pylon and then put the damn thing down on top of the speaker, effectively blocking much of the view from the right.

Oh, and Frank spits a lot. A LOT. I thought people were joking or exaggerating when they said, "Stand up front and get spit on by Frank, he can spit really far!" There was no hyperbole involved. Luckily he didn't get me, but he did get the girl in front of me. Way to spread MONO, Frank!

I would so see Leathermouth again. I never expected that when Frank hits the floor and randomly screams that it would mean so much. I feel pissed off like that a lot, too, and there's sadly really no other venue in life where one can just, well you know, hit the floor and scream about it.

Anyway, pictures:

And here is a video. The quality came out surprisingly good for my camera so I am including it:

Too soon, Leathermouth's set was over and I made my way back out to the patio. (The DJ played MCR right after Leathermouth's set. I was like, "Come on. Really?") I talked briefly to the singer from Warship and he was real nice. He said "Welcome to the patio party!" and that the patio was the place to be. ^_^ I minded my business and listened to Pretty Warship Bassist talk to his friend (who was complaining that he had jury duty, aww, I felt his pain keenly, seriously!) about what it's like to make music. I felt lucky just then.

Then the Warship guys went back inside, but I did not remain alone on the patio. Instead, a bunch of goddamn screaming girls came out looking for FRANKIEEEEE. They kept climbing on the patio furniture trying to look at the backstage area, the bus, everything. They started bithcing about MC Chris. (He actually came on after Leathermouth, even though I reviewed him first. So this was going on while MC Chris was on.) Security came out and yelled at them, told them to stop climbing r he would close the patio. That got me ridiculously angry. Some of these kids had "LEATHERMOUTH" sharpied on their arms in an attempt to be more like Gerard Way. One girl told some guy there that she was here, "Because Gerard Way inspires me." Sorry honey, but GERARD WAY IS NOT A PART OF THIS! They squealed about his pink hair, wondered if he was in the building (he wasn't, DUH,) and basically tried to stalk Frank. They complained about the "f*ggot" currently on stage. Bitched that they had to be out by ten and they had JUST BETTER get to meet FRANKIEEE before then! They talked about it like it was a mystical quest. I was disgusted.

Also, as I was peeking over the fence and looking at my car in the parking lot, there was some dude talking on a cell phone and walking around by my car. He had curly hair in a ponytail and was sort of older, or at least older than I am. He eventually PEEKED INTO MY GODDAMN WINDOW leaned against the back of my car! So I hit my lock button and made the car horn beep at him. He jumped about a mile and moved away from my car. Bastard.

So MC Chris ended and I was still on the patio waiting for Reggie and the Full Effect to come on. (For those who don't know: James, the lead singer / keyboardist from Reggie, played keyboards briefly with MCR. Frank plays bass in Reggie and James plays drums in Leathermouth. The dude who sang in Warship played drums for Reggie.)

I was on the patio again, chatting with some friends on a blog I frequent. On said blog, some anonymous person told me to put down the Blackberry and mingle with people. I told this person that I did not, and do not go to concerts to make friends, meet people, or get dates. I go there to hear live music, sing along, dance, all that other stuff. That if this person wanted to go to a concert to get a date, that was his/her business, but that's not why I was there and they should mind their business. No sooner had I hit the "send message" button than some random dude approached me.

Oddly, he asked if I was okay. He said, "You look, I don't know, sad sitting here by yourself. I mean you look awesome and all but I mean, I just wanted to make sure you were okay." I thanked him and told him I was fine, just writing and giving reviews of the shows. He told me that Reggie hadn't even come on yet and I told him that I had mostly come to see Leathermouth, but that I'd heard from my friends that Reggie was great, too. He said that James was a great keyboardist and I told him I knew that; I had seen James with MCR during ProRev. I neglectfully added, "Back when I was into MCR." He said, "Oh, do you hate them now because of The Black Parade?" I told him that I actually had very much liked The Black Parade, even though I thought Revenge was better. He said that Revenge was cheesy. My god, how can you think that Revenge was cheesy but still love TBP? I think both albums were great, and I steered the conversation away from MCR. We ended up talking about Wes Anderson movies. All in all he was very sweet, but he was smoking really close to me and as a result my throat and head hurt for the rest of the goddamn night.

And then Reggie and the Full Effect came on! At first it was just James and he was playing the keyboard / computer and doing things that I had no clue how he was making music come out. I'm sorry that I can't give you guys a full report because this is my first time hearing this band and I don't know song titles and stuff. I will just tell you what I took away from it.

Okay, first of all, again with the girls being way too fannish. The rest of the band finally joined James onstage, and of course Frank plays bass for Reggie. One girl standing next to me with her friend shrieked for him, and he physically cringed again and mouthed the words, "Stop, please." But instead of being embarrassed, the girl next to me laughed at him, nudged her friend and said, "I got his attention!" I could not believe what I was seeing. James actually said that a bunch of girls had stopped him outside and asked for Frank. They told him that they had to be gone by ten and could they please see Frankie before then. James said, "but as you can see, Frank is up here with me" and it was well after ten. Heh. I got a video of that:

In fact, James's between song banter was hilarious and so refreshing. I get so damn tired of rock stars yelling at me to put my fists in the air and other cliche junk like that.

As you can gather from the above video, James lives on Long Island. This I knew. James loves Long Island like crazy. This I did not know. He basically said so many things about the Island that I always say: How beautiful it is, how weird a place it is, how lucky we are to have a whole ocean to the south of us. "It's not a lake!" he said, "It's an ocean!" Then he and the rest of the band went into a parody of that Everclear song about "we could live beside the ocean..."

Of note: James is massively talented! He totally owns the keyboard, he is an awesome drummer and he also sings really well. I was sad that I caught this band on the tail end of their existence, but glad that I caught them at all. Good times.

And as far as Frank playing the bass, well I won't give the usual line about him being underrated. He plays the guitar for goodness sakes and so most of us know that he's a fantastic musician. Yet still, seeing him with the bass is really impressive. I am always impressed when bassists actually play the instrument rather than just going "plonk plonk" on it.

Here are two more videos. This is for anyone who doesn't know Reggie and the Full Effect and wants an idea of what they sound like:

And this goddamn "F-O-O-D, FOOD! FOOD!" song is still stuck in my head:

At the end of the set, they all came out in wigs, dressed as a 90's grunge-era type band, all except for James who had on a mullet wig (he called it the Kenny Loggins wig,) and was dressed for the 80's at their worst. It was hilarious.

Here are some pics of the whole set:

After the show, I was going to my car and some girl with pink hair said "High fives for Jesus!" I told her, "I'm not Christian, but whatever blows your hair back." We ended up having a really bizarre conversation about Jesus and it occurred to me that the last time before I met Frank, some girl was telling me strange things about Jesus, too. Then, some drunk guys came up to me. One guy asked me to take a picture of him. I told him that I didn't have a camera. He shook my hand and told me that my hands were really cold, and then we had a strange conversation about metabolism. He was really, really drunk as he was going to his car. I told him "Get home safe," and he said, "I won't." I was really nervous about getting on the road knowing that all these drunk people were going to be driving.

James came out and signed a bunch of things, then he got into his car and went home; probably not too long of a ride for him. ^_^

By now most of the obnoxious teenagers had left, leaving a few excited ones. A few of them actually were obnoxious, demanding that Frank come out, pestering other band members: "Bring me Frankieeee! Please make him come out!" One girl said she was just going to go on the bus and get him. I would not have been surprised if he just locked himself away, but he didn't.

Frank came out to say hi and sign a bunch of stuff. and it was utterly without attitude, without seeming put-upon or bothered. He came out all cleaned up with a smile for everyone. Everytime people see this dude, he is obliging without being obsequious, gracious without being ingratiating. He is agreeable, amenable, and totally sincere. Nothing about him seems faked or forced. He is geniune, the real deal.

And then I sometimes think, Well, he's got a reputation as being The Nicest Guy In The Business. The nicer he is, the nicer he is rumored to be. The nicer he is rumored to be, the nicer he has to be. It seems an awful lot to live up to. What if sometimes he doesn't feel like being nice? What if sometimes he just can't? I know I couldn't. I could never live up to a reputation like that. Because if he should ever have a bad day, or show annoyance (off stage, I mean it takes a lot to provoke him, and some of these girls were provoking him all damn night,) it would be such a huge shock that I think it would seem worse than if anyone else acted btichy once in a while. Some little girl was there with her mom, and her mom took a picture of Frank and then said, "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have done that. I didn't ask if I could take a picture." Her little girl said, "Don't worry, Mom. Everyone knows Frank is nice." And I thought, But does that mean it's okay to take advantage? I suspect that people do take advantage of his niceness, and I didn't want to take up too much of his time.

So, I told him that I didn't want a picture or anything, just to thank him and the rest of the band (who weren't around) for the show. I had a gift for him too, but earlier in the week Frank had asked that people not bring gifts; that they give something to charity instead. So I prefaced it by saying that before he said anything, I actually run my own charity (the birds,) and gave a lot more to the ones of my choice, but that this gift was meant for him. And he seemed genuinely pleased, and all the little girls went, "AWWW!" and Frank was all smiles. He thanked me for coming to the show and I thanked him for doing the show and he thanked me for coming to it and it was getting a little "thank you," "no, thank you" kinda thing, so I wished him well. Then he shook my hand and I said, "Safe to your next destination" and he said, "You too" and then I was on my way.

It was a lovely, strange, intense night of rocking out.

The only thing that sucked was that on my way home at 12:30 AM on the LIE, my eyes were itching from that guy smoking at me and I went to rub my right eye, and shanked my own eyeball with my fingernail. It hurt ridiculously and made it very difficult to drive home. I had to include that not only because it was a part of the night, but because it's so hilariously me that it's impossible to leave it out.

So that's the story, folks, of the Warship/MC Chris/Leathermouth/Reggie show! Sorry for the length and rambling perspective, but, well, there you go.

Thanks so much for this--you remembered so much more than I did! Your pictures and videos are amazing, especially for having been in the pit. Would you mind if I reposted one or two in my journal? I'll credit you for the shots, of course.

I recognize your cool hat from after the show, by the way. I was hanging back myself. :)

i loved reading your whole entire blog although i really did cringe myself reading about some of what you wrote (honestly it amazes me how immature people are sometimes.) and the pictures are awesome. It's nice to see somebody trying to get pictures of somebody other than Frank. <3.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I mean, I really do remember being 14 and going to rock shows. I remember that I was overwhelmed and nervous and shrill, but it was Bon Jovi. ;) Also, I never was rude to any of the "rock stars" that I met, even as a child. Never, ever, ever. But some of these kids, oh my god. And not only kids, but adults, too.

okay so, thank you so much for the awesome pictures and just great recap of the show.
Also this: "Please stop shrieking at Frank when he asks you to. He doesn't want to get you pregnant, he wants to play a show." made me laugh..a lot, and I love your hat.
The end. :)

I actually read it all and enjoyed it a lot. I also agreed with a lot of things you said about fangirls, respect, people taking advantage of Frank's niceness, etc. And argg...I can't believe how some girls are mixing things up so fucking much...wtf does Gerard has to do with this O_o
And yeah...you can like whoever you want, look at guys you like all you want (as long as you're not stalking them, that is haha) but please, fucking keep your comments to yourself. You're not only embarrassing yourself (though for what you said, some girls don't even care about that) but also that person you say to 'love'. Frank's too patient, I'd bitch at them really badly at some point.

Ahhh I wish I didn't live down here in South America, I'd have died to go to one show, for both Leathermouth and Reggie...just seeing the videos I can imagine how much it'd amuse me xD James owns so much!

Thank you so much for this, I leave the tour through other people so the longer the reviews, the better! I love to read other people's experiences a lot.
Now I'll watch the videos! :)

I'm so glad you liked it!

yeah, you know like I said to another commenter above, I totally understand feeling the excitement and being overwhelmed. And I know young people can scream a lot and that's fine. But they were just making really rude advances and crossing a lot of boundaries sometimes. Some of them seemed really possessive.

I'm so sorry you don't get to see the tour, but I'm glad if the review helped you live it vicariously. :D

This is great :) I agree so much with your whole THIS IS NOT MCR so fucking much.
I was there, too. Unfortunately I did not meet Frank, but it's alright. And when that girl was like, "I LOVE YOU!" he said, "I don't fucking know you!" Haha, sorry to be, like, a hardass about it, but it was the highlight of my night. Did you see those three aberzombies dressed up as 'emo' kids? They were the worst. I was standing next to them the whole time and they wrote "I heart Gerard" and "Call me? *numbers*" all over themselves. I wish I could have kicked them D:

I think I did see them.

I swear, I want to light every Sharpie I see on fire.

Darren Simoes is the sweetest man you could ask for, as is his gf. You should have talked to him afterward. You'd have been impressed with his love of playing and down to earth personality. I miss the Bled so much.

His girlfriend is a man? Just kidding. ;)

Yeah, he was just chilling talking about music, it was so nice to hear. :)

Ohhh, I love this concert review! I was already ridiculously excited for the show tomorrow and now I'm PUMPED. I love all your descriptions, seriously--what you were saying about how Frank screaming isn't 'srs bzns, lol' but actually raw and painful and cathartic--that sounds so fucking fantastic I cannot even say. I could definitely use some screaming about how nothing in the world works out right.

Re: the tiny, shrill, self-entitled fangirls. I have to feel sorry for them, in a way, I guess, because I think a lot of them are still too immature to realize that they're behaving inappropriately, and HOPEFULLY (oh god, I HOPE) later they will be mortified by those memories. That said, they're terrifying. And obnoxious. How so unaware of personal boundaries, children? How?

Anyway, back to the awesome. JAMES DEWEES. I actually don't like his band's music that much, although maybe it will be more enjoyable live. But he himself is darling. And I totally get what you mean about not going to concerts to make friends. If you meet awesome people, so be it, but I think there's nothing wrong with just chilling out and enjoying the music on your own. I go to tons of concerts by myself, and it's an entirely different experience from going in a group. Both are fun, though, in their own way.

Um, wow. I just rambled a lot and you don't know me. This is my sort of incoherent way of asking if you want to be LJ friends?

And everyone else has already said it, but I love your hat.

Oh wow, you are going to have the best time. I didn't realize how badly I needed to let go of some of the anger I have towards the entire world / government / etc.

I also hope that those little kids will eventually be embarrassed when they outgrow it. Sometimes you definitely get people who never outgrow that sense of entitlement and being obnoxious, but OTOH I know lots of people who went through phases like that only to look back and cringe. Let's hope. :)

Absolutely we can f-list! Just be aware that I am not the biggest MCR fan and I kinda Scrolly McScroll past anything Gerard related. ;D

Thanks for posting this, it was good to read.

I don't think people realize that what they're doing is sexual harassment to Frank and others. It's not just teenage girls being overexcitable, it's objectification. He asked them to stop, it made him uncomfortable, and to continue doing it and to be so blase is disrespectful this figure they supposedly adore.

It's truly a wonder that he comes out and meets the fans. I never blame any of them for not doing that; not with the way people behave. And part of it is age, but honestly? I met bands back when I was 16 and 17, and my friends and I never behaved like that. Maybe we just had too much self-respect.

Exactly. If it was men treating women this way, well, ermm, that would unfortunately be rock and roll, however, it would still infuriate me, and rightly so. There is no reason for it to not be infuriating when it's turned around.

Me too, I remember being 16 and going to see Ozzy Osbourne (among many other bands.) Randy Castillo went by me and I touched his jacket and my Dad's friend shook his hand but all in all I was too shy to say anything. There's no way in any reality I would have had the balls, and the nerve to demand things of people and to treat them like objects.

I saw those Sharpie kids, made me totally roll my eyes.

Yep, Frank did eventually come out and he was a total peach. By then most of the screamy kids had left; he was smart to wait it out. Some of them were getting reeeeally demanding and one girl was yelling into the bus. Disgusting.

I love your icon, it makes me LOL. ;)

at the boston show, girls followed frank to the bus and tried to crowd around him while he was putting some stuff away in the luggage compartment. it was so disrespectful and rude, you know? he was just trying to put away his backs and hve a little bit of down time after the show. i can't believe he was nice enough to come back out and still talk to these girls and take pictures with them. i mean, i was grateful he did because i was hanging back and waiting for him to finish with other people, but still. i felt so bad that he'd gotten hounded by a bunch of girls saying "frankieeee!" that i actually apologized to him when he asked me what's up. he looked at me kind of strangely, lmao. but anyway! i just really appreciate the people like you that can respect the man's space and the fact that he's doing something completely separate of mcr

and this is the end of my pointless rambles!

lovely review, i was far too lazy to write one of my own. i must say, i'm pretty surprised the fbi hasn't had frank killed yet, with all the anti-american government stuff. i like it though, since i'm not too fond of the bush administration myself

I think people get so into the "this is my one chance to meet Frank!" space that tact and respect go out the window. They seem to forget that it's as much about him as it is about them, and that he might not have such an enjoyable experience. ANd that if he did run and tell his friends all about it they way they were going to, it wouldn't be such a fun story.

I have to say, I absolutely support Leathermouth's anti-government / anti-bush / anti-right wingtard stance. It is part of what draws me to them. :)

So, I'm from the S//C board [lovers_vs_liars] so I didn't just randomly stumble upon you.

I loved your review, and I'm so glad you liked Reggie! and you're totally right, James is uber ridiculous on stage. Between the things he says, what he wears and all that stuff. He had the crowd [and the band] laughing almost all the time.

I know what you're saying about how when Frank came out all the girls screamed. They did that at the show I was at last night and had it been quieter, I was going to yell "Leathermouth is a band, not just the singer!"
ps- the weird thing is, lst night people were giving him gifts outside and he said "anyone else have anymore gifts for me?" and kind of laughed and i said "I do believe at another show you said to give the gifts to charity" and he went "yeah, that's right."

I know, James was making the other guys on stage crack up, too! He was delightful.

WOuld have been cool for you to scream that, but I'll bet the screamers would have just given you the stink eye. Screaming for FWANKIE is SRS BIZNESS.

I'm glad Frank is liking gifts and stuff like that. Too cool. :)

"Then Frank went on to set up his gear and a bunch of girls shrieked at him. For one second it was quiet and one girl screamed out, "I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES, FRANK!" and he physically cringed, like, obviously."

Those girls were terrible. Me and my friend were outside right before Reggie started and he came out on the patio for a smoke break and was literally mobbed by like, twelve girls. They fucking cornered him. It made me kind of sad. It's kind of bullshit that Leathermouth came around to a lot of small venues so all these girls with 'gerard way' and 's//c' sharpied on their forearms show up because they know it's small and they just expect it. It's nice to know there were people there who had a sense of what is appropriate and what isn't, though. (:

That was probably the same group who took over the patio when I was there by myself. They actually started pestering me if I was with the band or if I had seen Frank go by, and how they could meet him.

Oh my god, way too much.

Um yeah, I know this is kinda late but I had this open in my tabs for awhile and finally got around to reading the review. I gotta say, it's one of the best reviews I've read so far. :)

I felt like punching every fangirl you mentioned in the review ( anger management issues heh ) because they don't have respect for Frank or the band. It was really ignorant and rude of them to harass Frank like that, so THANK YOU for being a decent human being. And I can see where you're coming from with the whole Frank being nice business. I don't think I'd be able to hold up a reputation like his either, especially with the fangirls, yikes.

[/ramble]

Anywaaays, I've heard a lot about Reggie's performance and all I hope is that I get to attend at least one show before I die. :(

Awesome review and thanks again!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this. Oh man, the fangirls were out of hand; I was embarrassed for the rest of Long Island. And I couldn't help putting myself in Frank's place.

Unfortunately this is Reggie's final tour, and I think it's over tomorrow. >_< But James did say that this particular group would be back under a different name? I hope he wasn't kidding. :D
