Ohhh, I love this concert review! I was already ridiculously excited for the show tomorrow and now I'm PUMPED. I love all your descriptions, seriously--what you were saying about how Frank screaming isn't 'srs bzns, lol' but actually raw and painful and cathartic--that sounds so fucking fantastic I cannot even say. I could definitely use some screaming about how nothing in the world works out right.
Re: the tiny, shrill, self-entitled fangirls. I have to feel sorry for them, in a way, I guess, because I think a lot of them are still too immature to realize that they're behaving inappropriately, and HOPEFULLY (oh god, I HOPE) later they will be mortified by those memories. That said, they're terrifying. And obnoxious. How so unaware of personal boundaries, children? How?
Anyway, back to the awesome. JAMES DEWEES. I actually don't like his band's music that much, although maybe it will be more enjoyable live. But he himself is darling. And I totally get what you mean about not going to concerts to make friends. If you meet awesome people, so be it, but I think there's nothing wrong with just chilling out and enjoying the music on your own. I go to tons of concerts by myself, and it's an entirely different experience from going in a group. Both are fun, though, in their own way.
Um, wow. I just rambled a lot and you don't know me. This is my sort of incoherent way of asking if you want to be LJ friends?
And everyone else has already said it, but I love your hat.
