Uh, yeah.

That, and that fucked up shit a few years ago with the Maddie girl and her neighbor. Florida got the shit. They had a show about her on Discovery last night, and even just listening from the other room had me in tears. I had to sit back for a minute and think real hard about why the powers-that-be don't just flush our worthless little planet and work on something better.

And I remembered, there are a lot of pretty okay things. Like all the people that go looking for the kids (and they quite outnumber the ones that do this shit). And other stupid happy shit, like playing SCA, and LJ, and fanfic, and dancing, and bubble baths. I bet she liked some of that stuff, too.

Doesn't sound backwards and scary at all. I'd be one of the ones in the mob if I knew for certain that some prick had tormented and killed a little kid. I'm so with you on that.
