Happy PI day!

HAPPY PI DAY.

Work was very slooooow but didn't go too badly at all. I did not put away my laundry, vacuum the floor, or really do much of anything aside from a crit or two on the OWW. And played with doggies. And watched fishies. And wrote emails.
Daylight savings is such junk. My brain had no idea why it was up an hour early for work this morning, and it desperately wanted to go back into bed and continue its idiotic dreaming.
CRAP it's cold in here.
I feel very uninspired. Today at work I wrote a little scrap of dialogue that I wanted to include into le novel when I came home, and I thought it was about the funniest thing in the world. Then when I wrote it out I was like, "Seriously, that's it? Two lines, that's all I wanted to write? And it's not even that cute."
Well, but anyway, I'm all kinds of happy because Monday and Tuesday are my weekend, and Jo-chan and SB are coming over Tuesday and next weekend, too. WHOOP WHOOP! Next weekend I'm off work! All I have is that two-hour test in the morning (crack a book, damn you, CRACK A BOOK,) and the rest of the weekend clear and free. NICE.
So yeah, happy Pi day, y'all.
I'm hungry now.

Date: 2010-03-14 10:15 pm (UTC)As a programmer, daylight savings is incredibly annoying. It's a combination of several things: ambiguity over just what happens to e.g. anything scheduled to run during the time jump, governments constantly fiddling with when daylight savings starts and ends (requiring software updates to cope with this), and the occassional bug resulting from daylight savings being applied (this is more of a problem in the UK than elsewhere, because here for half the year local time = UTC and so you might not notice if something was using local time when it should have been using UTC). Then again, as a programmer it would be much more convient if everyone just used the same timezone :)
