It's not bad, really, at least with pain. THere's no pain at all involved inany of this, not since Thursday. That was the worst of it, and it was bearable.. There are times in the day when I see perfectly clearly, and other times when it's really blurry. I jsut got back from the doc's and he said that was normal, the blurriness is just the dryness--he stained my eyes and saw a lot of dry patches on it--so I have to practically live on artificial tears for a while. (Can youg et addicted to those? I hjope not. I can't spend my life putting drops in my eyes every hour.) :/ What really seems to give me the most problem is the computer screen, which had also better fix itself sometime soon, I would like to continue to be a hack writer, thanks very much. He also said I could return to work on the condition that I dind't touch my eyes at any time, didn't get any hairs in them, any chemicals, didn't get scratched, and used the drops as often as possible. (He gave me a note, too, which is really for SITF, because I'm sure the folks at my regular workplace know me welll enough to know that I"m not ditching. I just started this other job so I thought it would be a good thing, just in case.) I figure I can manage that much but I still have to have Mom drive me because I can't see well enough to drive yet. Additionally she's taking me to Kung Fu tonight Dad took me ther eon Monday--I could go on the condition that Sifu didn't burn any incense or have any heat or air conditioning on. Dad actually had a great time there, watching the class. He got to chatting with Sifu while we were doign warmups and he told Sifu that he thought I really loved Kung Fu. SIfu said, "Well, she's great at it." Which made my night. Though there was one part of the night where we were doing arm-bars and throws, and I was supposed to try to push Jess down. I leaned out to shove her shoulder and I missed by a mile. It was hilarious. A little alarming, but hilarious. We'll see how it goes tonight.

I warn you this will be another really disjointed entry, because I still can't lookat the screen enough to go back and edite things. SOrry about that. Also, I again apologize for what promises to be tons of typos. THose of you who know me know that I normally don't write like I have in the last few entires. Once I can look at the screen for a long er time, it will get better.

Oh, and I got bored, part one:

That's how it looked before I washed it. The hairdresser took about twenty minutes straightning it out and floofening it up. Why do people have to straighten my hair? There's no way I'll have the time to do it myself. And I had to sit with my eyes closed the entire time because of the dryer. Anyway, of course I had to wash it so it didn't stay looking like that.

The streakies are cool, huh? Basically I told the hairdresser, "Do whatever it takes to take the focus off my face and put it on my hair instead." But I knew I wanted the streakies. I asked her speifically to cut it asymmetrically. I said, "See how my face is kind of all crooked..." and here she interrupted me to say, "Yeah, but one your eyes heal you can go back to wearing makeup," which just made me laugh because even the best makeup can't alter the structure of your fae. I told her, "Just go crazy, do whatever. Get the attention off my face." Hopefully that worked.

There is a part to to "I got bored" but I'll ahve to upload those photos later if I can.

I finished two really great books on tape. I ahve to say, Mario Puzo's Omerta was fantastic, who didn't fall in love with Astorre Viola? :) It made me want to go to Italy and I think I will next year.

What I really want to do--and I'll have to do this in installments throughout the night--is write about the last few days, what Iv'e done and the hilarious dreams I've been having. I actually woke up laughing this morning, it was so funny. It started out as a nightmare and then it just got weird.

The first one was a recurring theme, I call it THe Absent Bridegroom. I've had this sort of dream at least once a year since I hit around 27 years old, always under different circumstances, but the main point is the same: I'm getting married, and there's bo groom. I'm at the wedding,k have a dress and everything, and I have no idea who the groom is, or if he's even going to show up. This latest one was actually a good dream, though, I had fun in it.

This time it started out at St. Mary's church in Ponquogue where I'd always wanted to get married, back when I did want to get married. (I know,me at a church, go fig. It's a beautiful palce thouth and my choice was only an aesthetic one.) So I went there by myself at night, after work, dressed in scrubs. Soon enough my work friend showed up, I mostly remember Britt, 5 Jenns (2 W.'s, one J., Jennel and one C.,) two Nancies, and Casse. They hbad brought me this beautiful red and black gown to wear for the after party. We all went into the church which promptly turned into a massive ballroom with a really springy rug. ANd I do mean a really springy rug, so springy that it was like a trampoline. I started jumping around on it and trying to touch the vaulted ceiling. The tables started filling up and I wondered who the hell most of the people were; I assumed they were this mystery groom's friends. But the table closest to the door was empty and all my friends were sitting far away. I told them to move up to be closer to th e wedding prty and they said that it was reserved for my family. Surely enough I went into an adjoining room, like a private room and there was a table that seated some people from my Dad's side and some emptry chairs. At the head of the table, decorated with all kinds of frilly wedding regalia, was a chair. one chair. Really cool dance music started to play, so I shrugged off the lack of a second chair and went bak out into the ballroom with the springy rug. My Mom was waiting there for me and she gave me a different dress, this was was the actual wedding dress. Now, in these dreams, the wedding dress is always similar when I firs tsee it: It's white, knitted, and has red flowers embroidered down the front. Every single time. So I took it and decided to go put it on so I could dance in it while I was waiting for the groom, although I was starting to get the feling that he wasn't going to show up. More presing than that, though, was the fact that there was no private plae fo rme to get changed. I bounced over to the far end of the ballroom (bouncing really high now,) where there was a long wet-bar that had curtains across it. I figured that was as good a place as any, and on my way there I passed another ballroom with closed and barred doors. THe words over it read "J. Leto". I kept walking. I got to the curtained bar, only the curtains only went down to my waist and I was thinking, My god, I dont' want everyone to see my underwear while I get changed! A waiter went by (the head waiter I guess, he was older and distinguished" and he offerd me his private room to get changed. I turned hin down, but I gave him my old cross-tie from parochial school. He stood on a chair and held it really high up. But he had forgotten about the springy rug, and I jumped to grab it. We made a fun game out of that for a while and then I decided to keep moving along. Once I got to the bar, there were a bunch of people gettin goff a plane and going into the next room with their luggage. In the next room, I could see a live rendition of "The Time Warp" going on,from Rocky Horror Picture Show. (Of note: This is not the first time by anyu means that The Time Warp has featured in my dreams.) I watched it for a while, debating on how to get out of my party dress and into my wedding dress. Eventually I grabbe done of the airplane passengers and made him stand in front of me, his back to me, while I got changed. The dress ended up being really short, like a cha-cha dress and I thought, "I can really shake it in this get-up! I can't wait to dance!"

I woke up totally gleeful.

Last night's dream started out as a nightmare, but ended up as a comedy. Actually it's still funny and I still m giggling everytime I think of it. It started out as a gameshow on TV, but it took palce in a haunted house, li,ke a house of horrors kind of thing, only I think people were really gettin gcut up. I was making some kind of huge fuss over the people having to go down this hall, the hall had red wallpaper and I seem to rememebr htinking there were rotating knives coming out of the walls. I somehow goty through it, though I dont' remember how, and ended up on the set of a quiz show that was a little bit like Family Feud, except without the families. Richard Dawson was there and he was asking Omar Epps questions. (Omar Epps had a fantastic episode on House last night so thats' why he was on myu imind.) I ended up answering questuions too, but I dont' remember what they were, it was some kind of word game. Soon after, there was a dance, like a waltz. Everyone was waltzing around, and Richard Dawson went by with a fluffy white cat on a red pillow. The cat got scared and jumped up to the ceiling, where it hung from its front paws. Omar Epps waltzed by it and it startled him. He leapt back with his hands in the air and went, "OH, DEAR!" in a really startled voice. I started laughing, and laughed so hard that I fell onto the floor (another red carpet. ) I laughed until I coulnd't breathe, and was literally rolling on the carpet, wheezing with laughter. It woke me from a sound sleep, and I woke up with my face in the pillow, laughing my fool head off. OH, DEAR! ^_^ That's still funny to me.

Okay, so i started this entry before Kung Fu. I had my Mom drive me there tonight which was very nice of her. We did stance training and then arm-bars and joint locks in basics. Then our hardcore blackbelt warmup and then we went into arm-bars and throws, with wrist locking. I specifically asked to be paired with Chris because I think if you keep getting paired with the same person over and over again you stop growing.. Also it's reallly fun to work with Chris, he challenges me. My Mom reallly enjoyed watching the class, just like Dad did. Me, I'm jus tso glad to get back to it. A week off, and the situps are not giving me a problem at all, we do 60 weighted situps and then some le lifts. (Though yesterday it was 60 waighted leg lifts then 20 unweighted.) I will never be one of those people whi gets addicted to working out, but I sure do love3 it, and I need a cergtain amount of it in the week.

Work tomorrow, and I'm glad, cause I miss it. At least, I miss my friends and I'm out of books on tape (will have to get more, I think, if Mom can drive me to the library again sometime.

You're probably from somewhere near New York City, possibly north Jersey, or Connecticut or Rhode Island. If you are from New York City you may be one of the types who people never believe when you say you're from New York.

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?

Haha! I love the description of the wedding dream...that's great. (I'd love to see a dress like that.)

I have to post my latest dream too. I love writing about my crazy dreams, and reading other peoples' posts on them too. You sounds like me in that you tend to have very detailed, and often rather whacked out dreams. I get a kick out of reading them.
