Secret concert contest

la_belle_laideSo last night after I got home from Kung Fu, there was a message in my inbox from the 30 Seconds to Mars team about a secret show to be held in NY tonight. We were to send in our email response if we wanted to go, and the first people who sent in their responses would get info on when and where. Keeping in the tradition of never winning anything ever, I didn't win this one, either. So I am at home, already showered and in pajamas and wondering what to have for dinner. It's just as well, because it was such short notice and I would have been there all night and wouldn't get home until like 4 AM probably and would have to miss work tomorrow with no one to cover for me. And I really do need the money pretty seriously. But still, a secret show, with only a select few? That promised to be totally awesome. So instead, I guess I'll put on my rags and sweep the cinders. ;) I really need a fairy godmother.
No, but seriously, I'm 33; I'm not supposed to be skipping off work and randomly running off to the city to go see a band totally out of the blue and stuff like this anyway. I have to fix my car and my hard drive and pay off the new hard drive. I have classes to pay off and bills and debts and whatnots. So this whole thing was crazy. I'm going to chill out tonight, eat some ice cream, and wait for the pictures and reviews from the people who did get to go. Also, I'm going to try to see them twice next month, so I have no room to complain.
It's been raining all day, and thus beginneth the autumn rains. It's not supposed to let up until Sunday. At least it won't be like last year when it rained for like eleven days straight or something crazy like that.
