Kung Fu chick dinner party

Tonight was supercool! I went out to dinner with some of my Kung Fu sisters and Lao Shir. The party was: Erica, Lee, Mitzi, Lao Shir and myself. We picked Lao Shir up at her (completely adorable) house by the water and then went to a seafood restaurant. The food was good, but I'm telling you, just hanging around and talking was even better. Especially, it seems, after a glass of Paumanok wine, which is apparently very strong. I haven't laughed so hard in months. Everyone at the table was in tears, we were laughing so hard. (And it was the story of how I knocked Lee's glasses off that got me started--demonstrating how I hadn't even realized I'd done it, and then kept going until Chris came over to stop me.)
Anyway, we talked about a lot of stuff; I mean, chick stuff--boys and things like that--but of course, stuff I don't get to talk about with my other girl friends, like say, Kung Fu and sparring and all that kind of hardcore stuff.
What a great party it was, everyone at the table adding their own joy and humor. It makes me glad that I'm not this miserable person I was a few years ago, who is afraid to get to know people. ^_^

Date: 2005-11-11 11:13 pm (UTC)Thanks for asking, and no, I don't mind random comments. I did take those fics down, and I haven't put them anywhere else, mainly because I'd decided to write my own novel, and some of the ideas (like the endings for some original characters) woul dhave been similar. On the (VERY UNLIKELY) chance that I ever got published, I just didn't want those stories still around as possible spoilers. Also, as I had taken some of my original characters--or characters based on them--for the new stories, I didn't want those fics to distract me.
If you can find anyone who has archived them, you are welcome to them. ^_^ Maybe someday you can read all new novels at the bookstore or library, though. That is, if I can make myself into any sort of decent writer. :D
Thanks for asking!
