Chan Tai San

la_belle_laideHey, check it out, this is my Sifu's master, isn't that cool? Sifu was adopted by him, not in the usual legal sense, but more like in the Hawaiian sense when you hanai someone. We have a shrine to him at the school that we have to bow to. If you take the "About Master Chan Tai San" link, you'll see Sifu Gus's direct lineage. Isn't that so neat? That makes me feel totally priveledged to be studying with him.
The links on the page also have loads of info on the Lama Pai and Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu that we do at Green Cloud.
I really can't wait until I get good at it. Oh, and Chris got his blue belt. Wow, imagine that? It's, what, just over a year that he's been there? THere are people there who've been for years, and are still on yellow belt. Of course, we're never supposed to compare our advancements with those of other students, but it's hard not to notice how quickly this boy moves through the ranks. He's really incredible.
If you go to the Green Cloud web page, and go to "eZone" and chose eGallery, you can see pictures of Master Chan Tai San, Sifu Gus, and Sehing Adam (who is no longer at Green Cloud, sadly,) and Sehing Tristan. For the Sehing pictures, you'd have to chose "Mo Gwoon" from the menu under where it says "galleries."
