This is one of my favorite short stories ever. I actually own this compilation and it has many of my favorite stories, including my all-time number one short story, "The Deadly Ratio" by Theodore Sturgeon. But this one is called "Moonflower" and it's well worth the read. I can't believe I found it on the internet!

Much thanks for the link, I loved that story. Creepy and beautiful all in one, I'll have to look up this author sometime.
