So my folks got me my birthday present early this year, and it's really, really cool. It's a CD player for my armored mech! It wouldn't fit anywhere else but the glove compartment, so now I have no glove compartment, but who the hell needs one? I can keep my papers and spare underwear, deodorant and toothbrush ('cause you never know) elsewhere. The important thing is that I can now ride to work with the CD player on random, and never know if I'm going to hear "Jungle Love" or "Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe" or Bobby Darin or Makaha Sons or Bob Marley or Faith No More or any of the laods and loads of anime or video game songs or clips. So I never have to be bored with any one tape or set of tapes again. It'll be like a musical adventure everyday.

I think my car likes it, too. He seemed to take extra pleasure in thundering down the road today and looking sexy. (Well, let's face it: my car is hot. I make out with him.) I guess that Shinigami's about nine years old now. Wow, where did the time go? I've had him for three years; almost four. I started calling him Shinigami because when I got him, I was about halfway through the Gundam Wing series. That was my first anime series and I have a soft spot for it.

Actually, it was one of the handful of things that sort of changed the way I looked at things back then. That year had the potential to be not so good, but a lot of stuff came along that just made me feel pretty good. Anime was one of them, because it was this whole new world, not to mention that I could get on board with a lot of the themes and sensibilities in the animes I was into. It was also when I'd started to write again, and I tried drawing for the first time in about ten years as well. Jeremy was living with me at the time, and we used to spend hours going hiking or driving or playing Super Smash Brothers. Or, you know, making stupidass videos or posing for pictures. Also, this was around the same time that I started hanging around at AGFFH, and I know it sounds weird, but the people there always made me feel happy, not to mention they sort of changed the way I thought about a lot of stuff. Let's say that it was around them that I learned to loosen up and enjoy the internet again. :)

Sheeeeyit. Would it be a Sunday if I didn't mention how mellow I was feeling about everything? And the fact that I have a movie to watch tonight and a dozen chocolate covered strawberries to eat? Mmmm. ^_^

Hope the weekend's treating eveyrone else right.
