la_belle_laideLady Chrysanthemum and I got our purple sashes together last night. JOY! ^_^ Snarklit got his in spirit, because he's away at college. But he'll get the actual sash when he returns in a few weeks. :)
Sifu told the class, "Men, you should all try to work as hard as these two women." And he told us that he was proud to have us as students. As you can imagine, that meant the world to me. You know, I started Kung Fu years ago because I was having some weird boredom crisis and I wanted to do something adventurous and cool, with people who were also adventurous and cool. It remains one of my best decisions.
Class itself, before the sashes, was mad fun. We did a drill that I really enjoyed, and lots of kicking afterwards. The kind of class that exhausts you but you feel that awesome buzz that I so frequently mention.
Usually my tradition is to celebrate a new sash by having some ice cream, but this time I just came home and crashed. Can't do that tonight either, because we are going to DISTANT WORLDS tonight! The Final Fantasy concert! We get to meet Nobuo Uematsu afterwards, which is, I don't even have words to describe this. ("We" = me, Jo-chan and SB.) It's going to be amazing. Obviously there will be pics to come after that, too. ^_^
Then I start my new job tuesday. This is kind of a momentous week. ^_^
