la_belle_laideAt least I hope it is a snow day, because I'm not there. O_o We got about four inches of snow and ice overnight and it hasn't quit coming yet. I would have had to leave my house at 6:30 and slid all the way there. So!
I got Resident Evil2 in the mail today, big hurray for that. I was invited by a good friend into a really cool writing group, so yay for that. I am going to visit a good friend tomorrow whom I haven't seen since last May, and so HUGE yay for that.
Here's another big YAY; an email from the town recreation department:
Also, I wanted to let you know that I received approval from civil service
for the job title of Recreation Specialist, so I will be putting in a
resolution to officially hire you at a rate of $20 per hour.
It doesn't start until May (it would have been earlier, but with the prospect of MAYBE going to China in April, we felt it better to just count on pushing the date back.) This makes me wish it was Spring already.
Oh my gosh, I have to get back into practice. I have to break out all my old notes, start to choreograph, brush up on all my terminology and history.
"Recreation specialist," heehee. Although now that I think of it, it does almost sound like a euphemism, in a way.
"Hey, whore!"
"Umm, the term is recreation specialist."
Nahh just kidding. The "recreation" in question is obviously cultural dance, (Hula,) and I am so superfly excited. :D It's about damn time that I started teaching professionally on a long-term basis. :D
