So this is what I keep thinking of. I remember four years ago, Kerry was holding out pretty good. I went to bed that Tuesday (early, because I had worked that day,) thinking that it could go either way but it had to be Kerry. It had to be. I mean, we were in such trouble, right? Things had to change.

I absolutely will never forget the next day. I cried all morning. It was such a state of betrayal and fear. The worst part is that as bad as I thought another four years of Bush was going to be, it was actually worse.

That's what I'm afraid of for the next few days.

the only realistic way for obama to lose is for the republicans to steal it far more blatantly than before. obama is ahead of where kerry ever was. and this time, do you think the citizens of the US are going to stand for a stolen election? fuck no.

I hope you're right. But every place I'm reading is saying that the polls are a lot closer than the look. I check the yahoo predicted electorals hourly and I see McCain creeping up and Obama sliding down. It is scaring the christ out of me.

RCP tends toward a slight Republican slant, as I've heard. I second the recommendation of fivethirtyeight.com. They are currently showing Obama with a 96.3% chance of winning.
