Kung Fu tonight

Oh man, Kung Fu tonight! We did chokes and some chin na and then we went to throws which were really intense! I was working with The Gold Dragon, Empress Teishi and another of my favorite people, Snarklit. He is a hell of a lot bigger than I am (so is Gold Dragon) and Empress and I kept getting them to throw us. It was an over the shoulder throw, and I swear once or twice Snarklit got me totally airborne for about two seconds, and really high up, too. It was such fun; we fell about laughing. Then afterwards we all noticed we were getting a rash or scratches or something on the inside of all our right arms. It ended up being shirt-burn from the other person hauling us over their shoulders. O_o
Then in blackbelt we did partnered stretches which is always intense, but always disintegrates into "stupid human tricks" and Empress and I usually win. After that we did really slowed down kicking drills, partnered. Oh man, my hips and butt are going to feel that on Friday. >_< I felt really bad though, at one point I lost my entire sense of depth perception and touched the top of my shoe to Empress's face during the kicks. She barely felt it but I was so horrified.
Then some dude came knocking at the door to the floor (there are two doors; one to the office and one to the floor,) and we were like, "WTF, no one ever comes in that door and no one ever knocks," so we knew it was someone new. We opened the door and this guy was like, "Who can I talk to about taking classes?" We directed him to Sifu.
It's always the same when a new person comes in. I think that at first we get a little bristly when we hear a knock at the door and there's some tiny part of each of us that's like, "An intruder! Let's kill it!" or "This could be a spy from another school!" (That does actually happen; apparently there actually are kwon-spies.) But then, once they announce themselves to Sifu it turns into a different kind of game, and everyone on the floor starts doing forms and kicks and stuff like that. Like, "Look, see what we can do. Join our school and you can do it, too."
It's such a weird mentality. O_o But it is at the same time so damn much fun.

They check out the workout and the different techniques then they report back to their Sifu (or their pretend Sifu, as there aren't that many real ones around here,) as to what we're doing. Especially if there is a tournament coming up.
It's so weird, right?
