springtime babbling and lots of pics

la_belle_laideWow, it's been forever and a day since I updated. I guess that's because not too much has happened after last weekend. Same old week, mostly.
Well actually I did keep track of a few cool things, but just elsewhere. Lemme find them. Okay, this is what I wrote on Monday the 21st:
Today I spent with Jo-chan mostly playing video games. I went to Kung Fu even though the school is closed for Spring break. A few of us faithful students showed up anyway and opened the school. We did both staff and sword; I was so thrilled to be doing sword again. I've forgotten almost the entire effing form which bummed me out, but I'm relearning it. Also, while doing the butterfly move with the staff, I whacked my knee so hard with it that the sound of it echoed through the parking lot, and everyone stopped what they were doing to make a collective hiss of sympathetic pain. I've got a bump on my knee so huge it looks like I'm growing another leg. Not nice.
Had ice cream, watched House with Jo-chan and said good night to her. I won't get to see her for another couple of months; this really, really bums me out.

This is what I've got so far in Trisky's garden. You can see one of the new cherry trees, too:
Chrissie brought Boychild over on Monday and we kinda hung around:
The Boychild was all about Jo-chan last weekend:
Jo-chan and I sometimes do a self portrait:
Then on Wednesday I went to babysit Boychild for a while. They got a new puppy, and Boychild seems to take a lot of joy in locking himself in the puppy's crate:
Before Jo-chan left I asked her to stand in front of a tree that I planted nine years ago. I have a picture of her standing in front of the tree shortly after it was planted.
This is the same tree, and the same girl, in a span of nine years:
That's just O_O .
Oh, and check this out, we got this note at work, attached to a bag of food for a boarding bird:
