Vagina Christ, work angst and Crisis Core

Last night was an EPIC round of Rock Band / Guitar Hero with my absolute best friend Kim. I also learned that a greasy cheese pannino sandwich, a bunch of garlic knots, a quat of chocolate ice cream, wine, honey wine (which is really, really thick,) and mixed drinks combined with a loooong ride home down twisty roads = puking once you're standing up. Drunken car-sickness FTW!
However, I also learned that I totally rock at the drums in Rock Band.
I should mention that the name of our band was Vagina Christ. How awesome a band name is that? Pretty damned.
But before that I went out shopping, which, I don't know, for some reason is kind of calming to me on a Saturday. While I was out, I stopped by the haircutter's and asked if they had anythign open for that day, and they took me right away. I just needed to get my layers trimmed (and she did a really cool job, my hair looks pretty neat and floofy,) but the lady told me that my hair was pretty much destroyed with dryness. She asked what I used to color it and I told her henna, which was pretty mild. It is, she agreed, but it is such a strong color deposit that when you want to go lighter, you have to bleach through the entire hair shaft in order to do it. So going lighter after dark henna is what screwed up my hair. Yikes! I'll have to remember that.
Oh, and before that, naturally, was Friday. Let's just say that, even though Jennel has come back on Fridays (which is a blessing, GOD is it ever! Not only because of the extra help but because, well, it's Jennel,) Fridays are still hell and Jennel is kind of like a cool breeze there. But the uneven distribution is getting worse and worse, and I hit total critical mass Friday when a certain word got said that should never be said to a woman. Even though it wasn't said to me (I wish it had been: I would have let him have it,) it got my back up like you wouldn't believe.
Angry, why yes.
I can't even really write much more about it because I'm trying to forget. It's amazing though, how you can dread one weekday so much that you start to count down to it as soon as it's over. Gosh.
Anyway, moving on.
CRISIS CORE VIDS.
That one is BEAUTIFUL, oh my god, the Cloud angst!
And Sephiroth battling.... Someone! HOOTAH!
They are all here, and there are spoilers. (Links to ones with subtitles, too.) But it's just as well, I probably won't ever play the game because I do not have PSP. Dollars to donuts they release it on PS3 someday anyway, right? I mean, right?
Well, those are my thoughts on this rainy sunday.
That, and did you guys know I've been keeping a poetry blog? It's kind of crappy, but it's something.

Date: 2008-03-17 01:40 am (UTC)Re. your last comment in my LJ: I dunno if you're poor like me, but thanks to the goober in the Oval Office we're supposed to get that $600 economic stimulus crap and I'm thinking that may be going towards the purchase of a PSP and game. If I can get over my fear of buying pricey stuff on eBay, they're going for ~$90, much cheaper then buying new. I'm not going to want to get a PS3 until FFXIII comes out, so maybe by then they'll be a little cheaper, and it would somehow all work out.
I can dream, can't I? ;)
And Resident Evil 4, how's the second game? I never did finish that, and if it's fun enough I may go back to it. I need to see if my brother has the others, I may steal them from him. It's an addicting game, once I actually figured out how to play it and didn't die every freaking second.

Date: 2008-03-17 03:15 am (UTC)Yeah, I got burned on eBay so now I'm not so sure I'd try it again. Maybe I'll just download all the FMV sequences. ;)
Re4,the second game, Separate Ways, is pretty cool. It's the same gameplay. I was into it up until right before Brawl came out, but honestly I think I like it better than Brawl. It really is highly addicting. In a disturbing kind of way.

Date: 2008-03-17 03:26 am (UTC)Jeez, so many FF7 games, so many freaking different formats, not enough moolah to get them all.
