Oceans of Ho EPIC PICTURE RECAP
Mar. 9th, 2008 03:58 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Another March, another Oceans of Ho!
The good: Well, the usual: jokes with friends, Naked Leaf Guy, getting tarted up, fun with cameras, neat fish to look at, people to make fun of, seeing a friend from last year. The bad: Jennel not being about to make it again, Watkins going home sick, and Donna and I getting stuck at a lonely table in the corner for half the night. The band was the usual White People Cover Band, but no one really got up to dance this time. I wasn't feeling the crazy dancing this year, I dunno, the band isn't that great and the songs are played out. Halfway through the night Donna and I get invited to pull up chairs at the Important People Table (lol) and we did, and we just passed around the camera, ate dessert, made fun of the band and acted like fools. During a sugar rush, Jane and little Kelly started dancing at the table, and by "dancing" I mean jerking around so comically that I spit my cranberry juice. Then I started dancing too, and part of my dance was to repeatedly peck Donna on the arm like a chicken, which made everyone else spit their drinks. We make our own entertainment. Random people were stopping at our table to watch us. One guy watched for quite a while, just standing there, and I told him, "I'll tell you a secret. No one at this table is drunk, true story." So, good times. ^_^
Much of the pic spam is because I am so pleased with how my dress came out last night and the neat little black ribbons I added on just for embellishment (idea stolen shamelessly from Ada Wong in Resident Evil 4) which people--even strangers--had to keep on grabbing all night. Umm, please don't, because those actually do tighten when you do that, hello. Also, my hair was like, epic. I curled the hell out of it then just piled it crazily on the left or something. It looked really neat, and people kept asking me what I'd put in it to get it like that. I was like, "curlers, yo." I don't use hairspray. I got the question so often that finally I just started telling people it was a hair tumor.

For everyone else, a recap in photos:
I struggled with this dress. It was about three sizes too big and I had to take it in a lot. If I'd taken it in anymore it would have scrunched up the ass, and no one wants a scrunched up ass. It was still way too big but it was comfy.

As mentioned: inspired by Ada Wong in RE4, I found a black ribbon and fastened it around my neck, using a Chinese coin to hold it together:

Also, I put lots of cool things in my hair, including a grapefrut blossom from my tree, which is the best smelling thing ever:

(Last night for some reason my eyes were like "OMG I HAVE AN IDEA! HOW ABOUT GREEN!")
Here are some photos of Atlantis, just like every year:

This year they had a really neat ice sculpture:

As a friend of mine says, "I do so love the Light." ^_^

And of course, tons of pics of me and my friends goofind the hell off:

(I have no idea what my arm was doing.)

MySpace it, 08!

Aaaaaand of course, Naked Leaf Guy.

(OMG JANE.)

(Woohoo, leg! ;D )

(Donna chan, so sweet.)

(el oh el, Kelly.)
And finally, a bunch of Hos with the hero of the ball:

And my usual "this is what became of my hair after the party" pics:

To save: Right click on the ones you want. Then click "save as" and just remember where you put them. ^_^
Thanks for a superfly night, hos! ^_^
Gentle readers: I'm sorry for the epic pic spam, but much of it is for my friends who want to save the pics (only two of us brought cameras!) and this is easier than sending them out to everyone. This way they can pick the ones they want. ^_^

Date: 2008-03-09 09:06 pm (UTC)Ya shoulda' put more weight on the end of your choker, that way if people kept grabbing it you could whip your body and use it to smack them across the face. What is up with people thinking it's okay to grab random strangers?

I love grapefruit blossoms. Unfortunately, grapefruit (blossoms and fruit) is a lot like coffee: the smell is heavenly, but the taste falls far short without adding lots of stuff to it.
