Crimbo party and stuff

Okay, so I got totally stood up on my date today, but that's okay. ^_^ Is it wrong that I feel a little relieved that I don't have to go anywhere today?
Anyway, last night's holiday work party was the bomb. It was held at this restored Victorian mansion thingie, which I liked better before it was restored, but hey. We didn't have a lot of people there this year, and a lot of the key elements were missing. But still it was totally fly and a great time was had by all. My "secret" Santa was Jenn C. and she got me an awesome calander, and a really beautiful candle centerpiece, with votives and marbles and stuff like that. It's so pretty. Man, I love getting prezzies. :D
We were all at separate tables but I made sure to make the rounds. Then right before the place closed, I started exploring it. I went by myself into the basement (fully furnished now and with a TV,) found some hidden doors to the outside, some drafty corners, and accidentally opened the door on one of the workers who was lying down on a bed reading. O_O Oops. Fortunately she was actually the Mom of one of my co-workers (Scooter, who I have mentioned,) and she figured that since I was so curious about the place she should give me and some of the others a tour. It was really neat. She took us all out back and showed us the pond (closed up for the winter) and the outhouse. (A two-seater, what the hell? I mean, no partitions between the little, err, holes or whatever. Just like, two people could go in there, sit side by side, and, yeah.) She showed us old photos of the house before it was restored, and a fireplace with an antique pot still hanging there that had been hidden behind a wall they'd torn down.
I love places like this. If I had more money than god, I'd buy an old, beaten up mansion and the only things I would change would be structurally, to make it stronger. I would not make it look modern. Then I'd just have all these hidden passageways and creaky floorboards. That's like a dream of mine.
Anyway, of course I have pictures.
My awesome socks!

Imagine my surprise when Jenny had almost the same ones! Hers didn't have the ruffle, though.

I was having a cool hair night:

One of those awesomely spooky pictures:

Two seater outhouse!

I take a picture like this every year:

Stairs to the basement:

That's about it!
Well, I think Mom and I are going to SB's concert tonight. I guess so, anyway. Don't even know what time that is. And I might--might--be going into the city to see a band play on the 4th. That depends on if I can get out of work early and a few other things. If so though, wow.
ETA: The Jedediah Hawkins, you can see the entire place here. ^_^
