Virus, probably from Buzznet

Don't even ask why I randomly decided to look at Buzznet.com tonight, but it jacked my computer with a killer virus that has completely effed up my desktop and browsers. Tons of popups on IE when it's not even open, capslock comes on for no reason, I try to highlight and open one folder on my desktop and five of them highlight and open. (WHich means I can't delete the sudden strange icons on my desktop, because it tries to delete at least five other icons at the same time.) Firefox is royally screwed, it has begun to open separate windows for everything. Also the mouse wheel has quit scrolling pages and has begun to make Firefox go to my last and next viewed web pages instead.

WTF.

So Buzznet is like the bane of the internet. I have no idea why I decided to look there tonight.

Time to crank up Spybot and Ad-aware first, then the anti-virus programs, PRONTO. And when you get your comp clean once more, seriously think about getting the NoScript and AdBlock addons for Firefox if you haven't already done so. I have yet to gotten whammied by any bad code since installing those.

Do everything the below commenter suggested, but I'd also JUST TO BE SURE make sure all the keys on your keyboard are NOT stuck. Most of that sounds virus-esque but the capslock and the wheel scrolling does not. Sometimes when you hold down a key the scroll wheel will perform a different function, hence my concern about a stuck key.

Yes, I know you're not dumb, but it happens more than you know.
