Legend of Link

Taking a link (haha) from F_W, I finally saw the fanfilm, Legend of Link. (That link is only to part one; there are three parts and the credits.) It was actually pretty funny in places. Not funny in others (and sometimes it wasn't really trying to be funny, so that's all right.) Way too frigging long; I skipped through a lot of the drawn-out battles and running through the field stuff and a chunk of that Ganondorf pimp montage. But on the whole, it was really fun to watch. I mean, it's a group of geeks running around in costume and having a blast, what's not to like? It did make me giggle out loud in a few places.
But dude, WTF with everyone using Requiem for a Dream?
It was good that none of these kids took any of it seriously. I think fanfilms are pretty cool. I guess what irks me about the trailer for the other LOZ fanfilm is that it looks like it takes itself incredibly seriously. And, errr, it's a geek fanfilm, you know? Same like with fanfiction, once you start taking it too seriously, it starts to suck.
But that's just me judging something I haven't even seen yet. I've been a fan of the LOZ series since I was a little kid, and I've always cringed at the thought of a live-action LOZ film. Oh well, we'll see...
