Panic Room, and panic in general

Because I'm nervous today with the show in a scant few hours and the potential for LOTS of technical difficulties (bad sound, NO sound, skipping music, wrong music--the works,) I'm going to try to ignore all of that and talk instead about Panic Room which I saw last night.
First let me say, I'm still a sucka for cornrows, ya know I'll never change that. Heeeee.
It was all right. A few tense moments. The movie looked cool, that's what struck me about it. It was far from perfect, but I had some fun watching it. I like Forest Whitaker and I was nervous through the entire movie that he was going to get killed. He was such a nice bad guy. The thing about it is that you never really feared the bad guys except for Raoul (Dwight Yoakam). I was never convinced that either of the other two were truly going to hurt anyone.
I had no idea that the movie was going to give me some laughs, either. Jared was hilarious as Junior, all jumpy and defensive and totally not cut out for burglary. " I am not a person who needs to be involved with anything quite so harrowing or perilous at this point in my life." And especially his delivery on the whole "I can't go to prison, I'm not built for that!' thing. It's not really a spoiler to say that he dies in the film, right? I mean, if Jared Leto is in a movie, he's probably got a death scene in there. It's in his contract, like Christopher Walken. I was sad when Junior died. He was so goofy and clueless.
I have a really bad feeling about this Hula show. I'd better start to get my stuff together, like now.
