Party in the mirror
Sep. 28th, 2006 09:56 pm( I took this awesome picture, obviously. )
Okay, so maybe it's not the coolest picture ever, but it reminds me of this one page I clearly remember in my favorite pre-school book, Go, Dog. Go! It was a nighttime scene wherein all the dogs are asleep but one, and you see his open eyes in the night. Man, I loved that one drawing and I always felt like I was that dog! Then the rest of the book, all the other dogs are racing but he's always asleep. Which is not to say that I think any of these people are asleep, just that they didn't know I was taking the picture and, well, it reminded me of that drawing from that book.
The party was super fun and over way too quickly. I don't think anyone did anything other than eat and laugh hysterically. There was plenty to laugh at because, as I remarked in class yesterday, this is a really weird group of people. And coming from me, that means a lot. The one thing I want to remember that doesn't seem as funny now as it did then but is still sort of funny, was when Dave was saying "My Mom's been a vegetarian for 30 years, and she was at her aunt's house," and everyone in his vicinity thought he said, "My Mom's been a vegetarian for 30 years and she's had her ass out." I said, "Jeez, I'd better starte eating meat; I'd hate for that to happen!" And Tracy said, "Well, you know, that's the style now, with your pants hanging really low." Everyone else was just falling over laughing. The rest of the pictures aren't as subdued as this one--they look more manic actually--but they show everyone else's faces and I'm not sure if they want to be featured on my public blog. ^_^
For good Kung Fu and a diverse and hilarious group of training brothers and sisters, Green Cloud is where you want to be. :D
