Square-Enix must be joking.

Over on Adventchildren.net (and am I right in assuming that AC.net is run by the crazy lady who "takes" Sephiroth in her dreams every night a la LQ? I hope I'm not....) they addressed the rumor about AC being pushed to November. Apparently someone at AC.net wrote Squenix to see what was up, and got this reply.

It reads as follows: "First off, there was never no release date set for the US version. The countdown that was put up on the website was put up by mistake. The release for the US version will be around the time after the Japan release of September 14th but still there is no exact release date.

Bolding mine. Uhh, there was "never no release date?" Speaking of LQ, when the hell did she get a job answering email at Squenix? And, "around the time after the Japan release" is vague, but not in a subtle or clever way. It just says "I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about." Which isn't surprising, considering that this supposed professional answered with a double negative.

I'm also left to wonder how the hell a countdown got put up on the official site on accident. Oh, so I guess the HTML code for the second by second countdown on the page was just a typo. Gosh, they meant to write "COMING SOON" but somehow, accidentally put up a huge countdown on the opening page. A mistake anyone could have made, I guess; it's as simple as typing "Could" when you meant to type "Cloud" after all, or possibly "there was never no release date" when you meant to type "OMFG Who told U Taht theyre was an oficcial rlease date LOLOLLOLOL! SUCKAZZZZZZZ!" I can see it happening.

By the by, I'm pretty sure that Summoner Yuna, who posted this update, is the crazy chick. If you look at her post, she's got a big "Mr. and Mrs. Sephiroth" banner at the bottom of it, with the words "the other half of my wing" under it. So if Sephiroth is the other half of her wing, does that mean that between them they've only got one wing? Which doesn't make any kind of sense, because Sephiroth is supposed to be the One Winged Angel, not the Half Winged Angel for godsakes.
