Kung Fu spazziness, and a sketchydoodle
Mar. 9th, 2005 09:07 pmHow's this for grace? Tonight in Kung Fu, I slapped myself. That's talent, yo. I slapped myself so hard, in fact, that it made a really loud noise and I yelped "OW!" The guy next to me (super sweet guy, my friend's uncle in fact,) started snickering. I saw him trying really hard to hold it back as he went through his first form. Seeing someone else trying to stop themselves from laughing gets me going as well, and then I started giggling. The more you hold it back, the worse it gets. After about a second we had both lost concentration and just started laughing and had to start over. It's still funny.
God, I really amuse myself sometimes. But I think it's good to find yourself hilariously funny. I mean, you're never really bored or lonely that way, right?
I always feel so weirdly refreshed when I come home from Kung Fu. I definitely get the endorphin high after class. I feel really mellow yet somehow still bouncy. On the drive home, I'm always feeling very happy and chill; songs sound better to me, too. I like feeling like a wet rag afterwards.
But I'll tell you something though. The first form makes my butt look big. I mean, my butt is big; I mean, I have come to terms with the fact that I've got back, but in the Kung Fu pants and with my butt turned towards the mirror and me looking over my shoulder, especially in a horse stance or anything like it, my butt looks really huge. Sometimes I get the urge to say, "Lao Shir, does this stance make my butt look big?" She'd probably laugh, but on the other hand, I tend to break my own concentration enough and probably don't need to add to it.
Well, anyway, American Idol is on now. I tend to only like that show in the very beginning when they get all the weirdos, but now I find that I like to watch it after Kung Fu on Wednesdays, it's like a tradition. And after that, the last episode of House that I haven't yet seen but have downloaded. Then I'll be all caught up. I hate being all caught up, though. Sure, there are new episodes to watch every week, but I liked watching a new episode every night. (Still, second season! Go on, ya's!)
Last month my after class tradition was to drink chocolate soy and watch a moie with Jonathin Rhys Meyers in it, but I'm all out of JRM movies until he makes some more. So now it's chocolate soy and House.
And I started a new sketch, too. ( It's of Jin and so far I'm pleased with it. This seems to be a large file; click at your own risk. )
Very sketchy indeed, very messy and quick, just lots of lines and crap, but I think I got a kind of mood (creepy) that I was going for. Now, to ruin it further by coloring it, as usual. ^_^
Ah well. Off I go!
