Oceans of Ho was fun, as usual. I'll post more tomorrow when I'm actually awake, but I didn't want to forget this. The funniest part of the night, for me at least, happened in the bathroom. I was in there with Donna and Casse about a half an hour after we all showed up, and we were all trying to arrange various costume and hair issues. I had done something really interesting with my hair tonight. I turned my back to Donna and meant to ask her, "How does the back of my hair look?" but what actually came out of my mouth was, "How does my back hair look?" Then I just about died laughing. This is even more hilarious since I was wearing a backless gown. God, I amuse myself sometimes.

I don't yet have the pics from last night developed, but I do have two that I took of myself on my digital after coming home veeerrry late last night.

Hair all mussed, makeup rubbing off, what a ho! )

I should have ones that are much more fun coming up shortly. At least in a few days. People from my workplace getting down with their bad selves and whatnot.

Today I got up early and visited my cousin and her husband across the street, to see the awesome things they've been doing with their house, which used to be our Grandma's and Grampa's house. It looks awesome. They are such artists with design and landscaping, I swear.

Then I went to the store to buy, uhh, I forgot. Oh, duh! A thank you card for my boss, who gave me a sweet raise. I mean, honestly, very awesome raise; I was so happy. Then I stopped by the nursery/florist and bought a little, mini orange tree. When I was a little girl, I had the biggest crush on the guitarist in my Dad's band; I met him when I was eight and he was sixteen. His mother once gave me orange blossom perfume, so orange blossom always reminds me of those years of my childhood. And I got a little gardenia plant for my Mom and Dad to put in their kitchen. I think every house should have a gardenia. While I was there, I picked up some pots and soil so I could transplant the bizarre little cloned plants I bought in Disney: prickly pear cactus, kalanchoe and vanilla. Honestly, they are cloned plants; they came in tubes with this weird feeding gel all over the roots. They're so tiny and were a pain to transplant without breaking the roots.

And then I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom top to bottom. My damned shower doors fell off and crashed into a glass candle holder which then shattered into my bathtub. I swore at it vilely, but it did not fly back into one piece. Tonight I cleaned the sunroom and tomorrow I have to vacuum the rugs and finish the laundry, which is my least favorite thing to do. Tomorrow night is Kung Fu, and I think this week is strength training! I will say "yay" now, because I know that tomorrow I'm going to be groaning a different tune. I need the strength training; I know I do. But that doesn't make it any easier.

And tonight, I'm going to sit down with a glass of chocolate soy and watch Shark Tales on my Mom's recommendation. It's been a while since I sat down with a good movie. ^_^
