At first I guess I was trying to do a level view, or something like that, and then all of a sudden it turned into an above view kinda thing, and now the foreshortened arm looks all wrong. Also, the room! It looks like one of those crazy houses, because I couldn't decide which way I was looking at it. These are things I never really think about when I draw, but then I notice after I scan it and look at it.

What the hell, man, how do I fix this? I swear, I just need to hire someone to draw crap for me.

Right, dead Seer, icky demon. If not for all the mistakes and weirdness, it might kinda be hot.

Perspective with a ruler?

Nevermind, I know nothing about traditional art. *O.o*

Other than DAMN, you're getting good.

Perspective at all is hard for me. Bringing a ruler into it miht confuse me more. ;)

Thanks so much! This actually started out as a quick sketch, then I sort of liked the idea, so I decided to ruin it. ;)

Do you draw your basic shapes first? Like drawing the room as a box first using that perspective crap ;P , or draw the people as very simple mannequins first? Its a little more work, but you need to get your basics right before laying on detail.

I did that with the bodies, but not with the room. I think that halfway through drawing the room I must have changed my mind about where I was standing in it. I *think* what the problem is is that I'm looking at the bodies one way and the room another. Maybe if I erase the room.

Hey, I've been looking for that link for a while now! Thanks.

Ah, I see now. Definately try drawing down all the basics of everything first (though I admit I don't even do that anymore- pros get to cheat. ;P )

And yeah, Loomis is totally the man- his stuff's easy enough for beginners to grasp and always offers something new for use pros as well. I need to actually invest on aquiring some of those books too. Will cost an arm and a leg since they've been out of print so long, but worth it to me.

Haha, actually I've just spent an hour erasing the room and redrawing it, trying to find a way to fit everything in it. Finally I gave up and googled pictures of, well, rooms. O_o Sad!

ETA: CZ, how would you do the room? Or the bodies, for that matter? What would you change to make it work?

YOu don't have to go through that much trouble, just whatever advice you have is fine. ^_^ Oh, but *points up* I redid it, so this one is kind of scrap.
