Damn! Suckiness.

Damn! Yesterday afternoon my grackle, Will, started to seem a little off to me. By this morning, he looked actually weak, and by tonight, I'm watching him die. I haven't had a single grackel live this entire season. And there was really nothing terribly wrong with him. Nasty laceration under his wing, but that was all I could see. It's always the one I like the best, isn't it? Damn!

Then, earlier, I had to go pick up a cuckoo who flew into a window. He looks pretty bad. I had no idea he'd be so big, I mean, when they come out of the clock, they're only like a few inches long. But I picked him up from the emergency clinic where my bestest girl Kim works, so I got to chat with her for a while. She really is my dearest of dears; I don't know what I'd do without friends like Kim. Be lonely, I guess.

And then, just a minute ago, I went to feed my pigeon. I opened his carrier and said, "Hi, Pidge! Ready to eat?!" And he was stone dead. WTF?!! His crop hadn't drained. From this morning, his crop did start to look weird to me again, and he'd had some diarrhea, too. Damn, man.

Tomorrow, I'm going to beach with my two friends, Jenn and Jenn. I'm just going to chill out, you know? Just forget everything and chill out.

Damn.

that is a good idea. It's good-- no, NECESSARY to get away once in a while.

Oh, did you read that thing about east coast beaches actually being better than many west coast beaches? Pissed me off somewhat, but it's great for you ;)

I didn't, but that's interesting! I know that some LI beaches are usually ranked up pretty high on the "best beaches" list because they're clean and relatively hassle free.

But yet, what I wouldn't give for some palm trees to go along with the scenery. Somehow big beach umbrellas and hairy buttcracks of fat Queens guys just don't seem to make up for it. ;)
