yardwork

Today was yardwork like TEH CRAZEE! My Mom, Gran and I all went to these nurseries and I spent about 26 bucks on a red and gold Scottish Broom and then my Mom, in a fit of niceness (common with her,) bought me some foxgloves and a columbine.

I thought that when I got home I'd plant a few of them and then call it a day, but my baby grackle died this morning and I didn't have to run in every half hour to feed him. A little depressed over that, I just kept on working outside, until it was 4:30 and I had no idea where the day had gone. But I did lots of planting and fixed the fountain of my pond.

When I came in--horror of horrors!--I had sunburn on my arms!

Oh, that's all right. It's better this way, the poor thing was such a mess. The nestmate was put to sleep the first day (his wing was off) but this guy had a little hope. I'm partial to grackles and other birds that eveyrone else hates, though. :) THanks, Katie.
