Apropos of nothing, I have to post this. Back when my friend Drex and I were high school kids together, we were at my parents' house having dinner and some black and white show was on TV. Some guy was singing about a glass of sherry wine. Drex hijacked the song and started singing that a glass of sherry wine made him ipsy dipsy tipsy or something. We went downstairs later where he had our "band room" (a few guitars, keyboard, drum set) and jokingly re-did the "song" to this random ditty that went, "Glass of sherry wine, glass of sherry wine, do-do-de-do-de-do..." (Dramatic pause) "Glass of sherry wine, glass of sherry wine, makes me ipsy dipsy tipsy; it's a glass of sherry wine, glass of sherry wine, ahh-ooo."

Okay, and we sang this ridiculous thing for years. Now keep in mind, this is going back about 22 years when this started. I can't even see a glass of wine without this song going through my head.

So tonight I randomly thought of it again, and I wondered if I could find what movie it was from. My Google-fu is pretty strong, and I came up with a movie called Champagne Charlie.

And believe it or not, I actually found the clip that this originated from: At 11:20.

It never ceases to amaze me that I could see something once, for a few seconds when I was 16, not have any idea what it was and then all these years later find it again on the internet.

Yes, I know, this post is pointless but it is a weird old inside joke and I had to post it somewhere.

You didnt, you know itd be funny if we taped it and could convert it to dvd. We always had a lot of fun:)

I have been trying to figure out a way to get some of those old tapes on digital. My Mom's vcr can do it, but then they don't play on the computer! Grrr. I def. think The Raven needs to be somewhere on the internet! Because just thinking about that one cracks me up.

It doesn't read as any format, that's why it's odd. The computer doesn't even realize there's a DVD in it. Very weird!
