la_belle_laide | Some mild freakage and fanpoodling

So, I get effusive and all, but anyway: Waited the entire Golden Globes to finally see JGL! When he walked out I thought, "There's the dude who was the first ever to put me in print, who is always so gracious to everyone he talks to, who has been nice to me on a few occasions already, and who called me 'a writer' and was legit happy for me when I sent out my manuscript." Seeing homeboy up there wearing the little red button on his billion dollar threads was, tbh, a real moment for me. And just, YAY HitRECord! The rest of the show was, ehh. Kinda not worth it. RDJ was funny though. I have to laugh though, because on Twitter, JGL is trending worldwide, like, over people who actually won something? LOL. Go Jiggle, go. And I don't tend to fangirl this kid over how cute he is (I do fangirl him over his grace, graciousness and talent, negl) but OMG, freckles.

Anyway. In other news! So it's about three days till my state boards, and I kind of don't want to discuss them. Yes, I've been studying. No, I am not pleased with the practice questions, not at all. Yes, I have a huge problem with some of the questions and yeah, I disagree with a lot of the answers, tbh. But again, I don't want to get into that. I kind of want to put that out of my head for a while.

Still waiting on news from that one rad agent re: requested manuscript, but I did kind of twitterstalk her today and was dismayed to learn that she doesn't rep novels that have zombies in them and mine does kind of hint at the undead, or at reanimation. Dang it all!

However in exciting news, GUESS WHO IS GOING TO AUDITION TO PLAY BEATRICE IN THE SUMMER? That's right, THIS ONE. So, that's actually one of my life's dreams, to play Beatrice from MAAN, or at least it give it my best shot. It turns out that my clinic supervisor from my last trimester at school works with a theater group that is planning on doing a production over the summer and they are specifically searching for a Beatrice in her 30's with a specific kind of snarky delivery. I had no idea this was even going on, and then last night randomly changed my FB status to a quote by Beatrice. (Or maybe not so randomly. There is a Shakespeare collab at HitRECord. ^_^ DO YOU SEE HOW HITRECORD BRINGS GOOD THINGS TO ME? DO YOU SEE?)

Another awesome thing HitRECord is doing for me lately is the TinyChat sessions. There are some truly awesome and funilicious people in there and I've made some great friends and shared lots of laughs.

skitty_kitty is often there, for one thing. Adorable Rob and his fantastic Pink Floyd seranades, Wirrow with his gorgeous voice, Penelope, Liz, Phen, Moi, Inky, Island, just about everyone. Just good times all around.

So I'm a little jacked right now on brownies, ice cream, and freakage. I should go to bed, study more, and try to sleep because I have work tomorrow.

But my god, Shakespeare. BEATRICE. State boards. That little red button. Those freckles. Jeez.
