Blather, rinse, repeat

Fans to the rescue =)

If we assume ff7 is from Cloud's perspective (ie, the attention-whore hero wannabe) and that LO is from Zack's perspective (Ie, a guy who really likes cloud but knows he cant fight for shit), both views are likely to be skewed. Zack i don't think would ever beleive Cloud could ever do what he managed in ff7; likewise, Cloud may have bene exagerating hsia ctions in the flashback.

So maybe a middle ground is closer to the truth: Cloud swung the sword, and Sephiroth, while not reall being THROWN, more like forced around while still on his feet, still refuses to release his sword, and ends up tripping over a railing and falling into the mako pit for his trouble.

But this is all intepretation to prevent two completly valid versions of canon from clashing into one another. My philosphy is "if soemthing comes later that contradicts something said formally, the newest facts are closer to the truth". Unfortunatly, this means i have to accept the sucky "Ok he got stabebd twice but sephy still jumped of his own free will and that sucks, oh and btw cloud somehow had mako eyes while being an MP" version of continuity =/
