He is, but I totally sympathize with him. When someone calls him "sly" I instantly flash back to college, when this one girl insisted (and wanted everyone else to know) that because I'd shown some ambition in the theater, I was (the phrase is burned in my mind,) "underhanded and sly." The character creeps me out in ways, but I feel for him.
Mind you, I've only read the one book, and he was just a creepy, arrogant little kid through most of it, who absolutely didn't deserve what happened to him at the end (umm, aren't most young kids selfish and convinced that they know everything?) so I have no way of telling hos much farther the creep factor is going to go. But I'm looking forward to it. ^_^
