Yo! Saw this in the thread, and decided to comment! XD
Hmm, I love most of your analysis, yes I do. Especially the way you (i felt) explored certain depths of the Arthur/Eames dynamic that I'd never really thought about before this. Especially the difference between how he tells Cobb and Ariadne later he'll be getting out of there and yet he tells Arthur 'Just be back before the kick.' There's a lot of nuance to be put into that, I think - it's one of those bac k-and-forths that define the Arthur/Eames dynamic to me. I can see a bit of the nasty edge to it, actually, but I guess it's ultimately subjective, and I liked the new perspective on that moment you gave me :D
I'll admit that while I can see the potential for the Arthur/Eames dynamic to be a ship, I don't always go that way - I see Arthur/Cobb as more probable, but that's because I tend to add an Alexander-Hephaestion parallel to the Arthur/Cobb dynamic, which makes it easier for me to see it as a ship. So, bias here. But aren't we all?

Thanks for giving me stuff to think about! :)
