Holiday's last hurrah

Yesterday was fantabulous. Over at Chris and Tim's house, we had a belated Christmas for Boychild. UD, Betsy, SB, Jo-chan and their lovely school friend Dylan were over too, as were Celia and her kids, so it was all my favorite people in one room.

This Boychild remains fully cool with everyone in the world. He hugs everybody, plays with everybody, and hardly fusses at all. He's real sick, too, with a respiratory infection and a really bad ear infection (probably from the stupid long flight.) Which kinda makes everyone wonder, when he feels better, is he going to be like the Tazmanian Devil? Which would be really cute, probably. For me at least, because I'm just the god(dess)mother and I don't have to deal with it the way Chris and Tim to. ^_^

He started getting sleepy around 3:30 so I picked him up to swing him around. Then he became obsessed with being upside down. Like, he wouldn't quit, no matter what I did he just wanted to look at everyone upside down even though he was getting a head rush. Finally I just swung him until he fell asleep. I haven't done that kind of thing in 14 years, not since Jo-chan was wee.

I want to go play with him again tonight, but tonight is the Kung Fu holiday party and I really shouldn't miss it. Anyway Tristan asked me to go; do I ever tell him no? ^_~ The damn thing is really far away, but it's earlier than last year's. Last year I was really bummed when I went to the KF party, remember? But this year I have cool hair and I dunno, I'm kinda past caring what I look like, at least for now. I guess it goes in phases, right? I guess I'll leave in about 45 minutes, but it's too early to get ready, 'cause I don't take very long with stuff like that.

Well, I'm bound to have pictures afterwards, of course. ^_^

And tomorrow, the stupid new year? I will be spending at BlogBelieve, probably.
