It's still winter...

Wow, it's been a while!

hyenarave was over here for a few days, which was loads of fun. We played video games for a while, ate tons of food (OMG cookie dough, peel the wrapper and eat it like a banana!) and watched Monty Python for a few hours. ("Number forty six: The feather.") Spent some time hanging out in my Mom's kitchen and watching her cook while talking about many different and unusual things.
( We are so kaYUUUTE. )

Had Hula this morning and that went well; we already got a summer show lined up (or late spring, really.) Should be good. Then I went out and got a birthday gift for my Da. Originally my plan was to go out tonight with Brit and Jennel to look for gowns for Ho next week (boy, THAT came up fast!) but A) I'm still really coughy and headcoldy and just really tired with loads of stuff still to do, and B) yesterday I got an effing sweet raise, so I treated myself to a dress I've wanted from Pyramid collection since I saw the blasted thing and now I'm all happy. I didn't want to order something at first because I like to try things on, but I really love this dress and I just have to trust that I picked the right size. It's hard when everything runs different sizes and you fit into everything from extra small to extra large, no joke.

So for the rest of the day I have things that are boring to everyone else but kind of medatative to me: feeding the houseplants, cleaning the birds, maybe a little drawing. Unfortunately I have laundry to do, too, and that really is boring, but oh well. The good thing is that I don't even have to do anything in any particular order. I love days like that.

The Ninja Wizards just got in from their wild galavanting around the yard and are all asleep. Dogs are so awesome when they're like that. ;D

Oh, I know! I had some cool ideas for my query letter and I've been doodling around with that. Do you know, the query letter is more daunting than the novel itself? Jaysus.
