30STM is playing a free concert in NYC tomorrow night. You have to be there at 5, so there's no way I could go to work and still get there in time. There's no way I could take a day off, because I took one off last week to go see them, (even though I got someone to cover for me way in advance.) More importantly, I'm still getting all kinds of grief over the fact that I did not blow off a few hours of Sunday's family gathering to come in and work on my day off. Yes, read that again.
Today I woke up in a good mood anyway, figuring I'd ask my Mom and Gran if they wanted to go to Bath and Body Works for some Autumn themed candles or whatever anyone wanted to buy. That's what I had in mind, anyway. I knew I'd have to be back early to work at GC later today, but I figured I'd get a jump on things and off we'd go. But then Mom wa son the phone for about an hour earlier, and then Gran didn't have enough time to get ready and didn't really feel like it. So I asked Mom if she wanted to take a quick trip anyway, as she needed to go into town and so did I. But then the entire time she really didn't seem to be in the mood to be out or to even talk too much. So I picked up what I needed (ink cartridges and Burt's Bees lip balm, because I lost mine,) and she got her stuff and I said, Let's just go back.
So today has been kind of a waste so far and that's put me in a bad mood. But I have Kung Fu later, so maybe that will sort me out.
So, House last night was a little weird. The whole mystery thing was pretty cool, but I'm not sure how I felt about the new development with House's, uhh, health issue (or lack thereof. I don't want to say too much because I don't feel like cutting this entry.) Something seemed a little off in last night's episode. But I did like the weirdness between Chase and House. I hope Chase doesn't leave. He's such a wimp, but I love him.
Meantime, I'm bored. And I want this week to be over.
ETA: Rob called me, and Trisky's bloodwork is all fine. That's great news! And now we just have to get through Tuesday.
ETA again:
