All of a sudden, sitting here quietly in my house with the dogs, birds, fish and lizard all sleeping, suddenly I smelled cut flowers and it made me think of my paternal grandfather's wake in '85.
Awfully good thing that I try not to believe in signs.
Random:
1) Celestial Seasonings chocolate caramel chai ice cream: not bad, but too Christmasy.
2) Meghan's play last night: Cute and funny. Goddaughter is a natural talent.
3) My Gran singing along to Blue Hawai'i in the car on the way home: unforgettably sweet.
4) Work: tedious and dull.
5) American Idol: Boring, but very cool that my cousin Chrissie came over for dinner and stayed to watch it tonight.
6) House: Yuck, squick, nightmares. Ticks in the wrong place. Surprised to see Michelle Trachtenberg--you know, Dawn Summers?--in the role.
7) Buffy, Season 7: Got the DVDs last week; really, really enjoying the episodes I missed all those years ago. Loving this season's Distressed!Spike in need of rescue, yet completely not wild about two or three episodes of gratuitous, squicky and still oddly dull Spike torture. Please, I like it better when he tortures himself mentally.
8) Weather: Liking the rain, but too cold.
9) Courtney Love selling Nirvana out: Not unexpected at all, yet I'm beginning to think that SHE might be "The First" (as in, Buffy Season 7 The First.)
10) Godawful Harry Potter fic summaries: Hilarious.
11) Internet connection: Wonky for the last month, completely offline tonight. WTF? Will have to post this tomorrow.
12) GAFF: Maddeningly frustrating for being offline so much? Maybe it would be if I wasn't already fed up. It's usually not even worth it to try logging on these days.
13) Guy I like suddenly having a girlfriend: S'all right, I'm over it.
14)I don't know. Whatever. Bored now.
