Spot, Springtime, and Stay
Mar. 30th, 2006 04:26 pmWe put Spot to sleep today. Spot was our boss's three-legged bearded dragon who has been at the hospital since before I started working there. I hated losing him because I've always been fond of him, and it kinda took a lot out of me to hold him while he died. But it was outside in the sun and he was with the two people who took care of him--Casse and I--so it could have been worse. We buried him out in the back under a tree and planted some flowers. I will miss that little pointy critter.
It had to be about 68 today, maybe even 70, so even though a bunch of us were sad about Spot, we still went outside and hung out in the sun for a while. Looks like the worst of the cold is gone. Goodbye, winter, until next year!
Last night in Kung Fu Erica and I decided to do a little iron body training with each other and with the mook jong. Let me tell you, I couldn't move my right arm last night. I'm all bruised and swollen, but I wish the bruises were worse so that it looked as bad as it felt. Though when I say "bad" I don't mean that it's horrible and I wouldn't do it again, just really intense. A little pain never hurt anyone, right?
And I got my Buffy Season 7 DVDs today, yay me. I'll have something to watch for a while now.
Oh, I saw Stay last night. It was very creepy, gave me nightmares. I like movies that mess with your mind like that. Or at least I like them until I get into bed and turn the light off. It was similar to Waking Life, though not as subtle.
( SPOILERS To Stay and Waking Life )
Film-makers are really starting to understand the subconscious.
And Ewan McGregor is beautiful.
