Haku, and my new dolly
Jan. 31st, 2006 06:10 pmI had Haku neutered and chipped today. Man, it sounds so barbaric when I put it that way, like he's a commodity and not a companion. But really I know that both of those things could possibly add years to his life. His little nut never did come down, and Rob had to go digging for it. It was a looong surgery. He said he was "in there" for a really long time just looking around. Haku's all stitched up around his boy parts. And then the FriendChip needle is freaking huge, and, you know, white dogs always bleed like the dickens just because they're white dogs and that's how it goes in an animal hospital, so his back was just leaking blood. He woke up very quiet and confused. I totally thought he was going to be a screaming, hysterical, fliiping out mess, but he was really chill. He whined quietly whenever I'd go and pet him, but when I'd leave, he'd be all quiet again. I'll go and pick him up tomorrow, but for tonight, the house is so quiet. Sano has been looking for him all day and whining. Trisky's not complaining, though. ;) She's very content in the new bed, actually.

( Psst! Here's a hint for you: It's called a Phoenix Down. )
