I must be hormonal or something, because the last two nights I've had these really awful nightmares. The first one was abotu zombies. They had taken over my neighborhood and they killed my Dad. One of the girls from Kung Fu had been turned into a zombie, too. I kept shouting "FIRE3!" to set them on fire, like in video games. That one was really, really horrible.

Then last night I had a dream that actually started out pretty good, and then turned awful. In this dream I was in the movie theater with someone from work, and we were watching Walk The Line. Joaquin Phoenix started to undress, pretty randomly actually. And then suddenly he was at the beach. I turned to my friend and said, "Don't be surprised if I walk right through that screen and into the movie!" Then, as if to prove a point, I did.

So I was on the beach with naked Joaquin Phoenix, and this all sounds like the best dream ever, right? Also walking with me, though, was some little girl, around 14 or 15 or so, in a red Kung Fu uniform. Her name was Chris, and I recognized her as a friend of mine, although I don't know now who she was supposed to be, as I don't know any girls named Chris. She told me she was going to go swimming in the ocean, and off she went. I kept on walking around with Joaquin Phoenix. It was a really small beach with cement walls on either side, with chain link fences built up out of them. (That's a bit like on the beach out here; when we were kids we used to walk along the tops of the walls above the water, holding onto the fences.)

So then I looked towards the water to see how Chris was doing, and instead of seeing water, all I saw was sand for about a mile. And I completely lost it, because I knew what that meant. I turned to Joaquin and said, "It's too late to run. Grab the chain link fence." Joaquin was a little oblivious as to what was about to happen, so I took his wrist and shoved his hand towards the fence, wrapping his fingers around it. When I looked back to where the ocean was supposed to be, there was a huge wall of water racing towards the shore. (I image googled "tsunami", and this painting was among the results. It was something like that, only narrower and really frothy on the top.) I noticed that Joaquin wasn't paying attention, so I put one arm around him and grabbed the chain link fence with both hands, and then I shut my eyes and waited, thinking, "this is going to kill everyone here."

But it didn't, and neither of us got pulled away from the fence. It was over in about a second, and the water receded. Then everyone started crying and looking for missing people, mostly kids. I looked out over the beach to see where Chris was, but she was gone. I started calling "Chris! Chris!" although I knew that she must be dead.

And those were my two awful dreams. Now I've written them down, I can move on.

I wrote two and a half chapters yesterday, and I enjoyed it! I was actually excited to be writing. I've got the ambition to continue today, actually, and so I think I will. I'm on a roll like I haven't been since summer. Go, me! It's like the door is open, and I can peek in there for a while and document some goings on. It'll probably close again in a few days, so I'd better watch while I can.

Hope everyone is readying themselves for the upcoming holiday season. God knows I'm not!

Snagged from CZ's blog, a live sized Sephiroth figure.

I wish that I was crazy rich. God!

ETA: Way to hide his package, though. Jeez. ;) I wonder if there really is one under there.

Huh, according to someone named [livejournal.com profile] ginmar, virgins over thirty do not have the same rights as women who have had sex.

Isn't that just odd? I wonder why. Penii apparently have some sort of human-rights giving super power in them. Who knew? I'm going to have to study this revelation a bit more closely. Anyone want to offer theirs up for uhh, research purposes? ;D

Seriously, though, I'm so sick of people hating on women for the choices they've made. If she does it, she's a slut and not to be taken seriously. If she doesn't, then apparently she is also not to be taken seriously. Her right to have an abortion or not is always being discussed by men in huge buildings who will never meet her. She's always getting raped, but hey, look at the way she was dressed! She was probably asking for it.

So sick of it. Here I am, thoroughly enjoying being a female, but some people just keep hating on us and telling us how we may or may not think and what we may or may not do just because we don't happen to have a willy. I do not grasp this "logic."

Thanks for the link there, [livejournal.com profile] _flame_god_. 'Course, now I'm pissed and being an EVOL FEMMINIST OMG! but, hey, there it is.
