parties and madness
Jun. 23rd, 2005 05:17 pmThe next four days are going to be madwickedcrazy. Tomorrow is Friday, thank god, but it's also graduation Friday, which means we're getting our ass handed to us at work. The kennels were overbooked to begin with, but then a few employees brought in their pets for boarding, too, completely unannounced. This is not only considered Really Bad Form, but, what the hell, man? We're going to have to build kennels if we want to fit everyone? That really frosts my shorts. But we're going to be running around like crazy tomorrow, and I do not foresee a fun time.
But Saturday and Sunday both promise to be fun. Well, not so much early Saturday, which for me is going to be all cleaning and shopping (after Kung Fu,) but Saturday night, a few friends and I are going out dancing. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've had to leave the house at 10:30 PM to do something. Not since I was in my twenties, I think. Anyway, so Jenn W., Heather, Michelle and I are going out dancing, probably till the small hours, even. I haven't been out till one or two AM since October. Dang.
Sunday, more cleaning and more shopping all damn day. Then, around 7 ish, I'm throwing a big ole pool party, just to celebrate the beginning of summer. Swimming, The Big Sandwich, tiki torches, citronella candles, and Bob Marley playing in the background, and maybe some Hawaiian music, too.
Mmmmmm.
Then on Monday, I think I'm going into Easthampton to pick the kids up so they can stay here a few days. Hopefully, they'll be able to. Anyway Meghan's birthday is coming up, so I have to get to see her.
This is the way summer should be! Only hotter, though. It's only about 75 now. I need 85, 90. Woot.
