Apr. 27th, 2005 02:00 pmI went to see Max last night, and he really doesn't look like himself. He's very wobbly and seems to not know what to do about it. He keeps walking from room to room as if he doesn't know what he wants. My Mom cancelled his appointment today. I talked to Dr. Jenn this morning and she agreed that anything they do to Max will probably not make him feel much better, also it might just stress him out. The only thing that really made me wonder about the decision is the fact that kidney failure causes nausea. My Mom says that Max keeps going to his food, looking at it, then walking away. I know there isn't much anyone can do, but he should be comfortable no matter what. The decision today was, which would be worse for him, feeling nauseous, or going to the vets, which he hates more than anything?
So my Mom decided to keep him home, and I ran out to Green Earth to buy some herbal remedy for cats. Go on, laugh, but it was the only thing I could think of to do. I found kidney remedy, and digestive remedy, which has all sorts of things to calm stomach problems, and it's specifically for cats. As I was walking out with my stuff, I just glanced down at the sidewalk for whatever reason and I saw that someone had scratched the word "MEOW" in the pavement before it had dried. I'd never seen it there before. Anyway, I took it as a sign that at least we were doing right by Max. What else could it be?
On another subject, my goddaughter's birthday is coming up. I pestered her to give me some ideas, and she came up with a subscription to Furcadia...I think? It looks like a cute site and all, but I'm very wary of this site. Furcadia is the game that ( Link's Queen aka Kitiara aka Jennifer Testardi used to use to go 'yiffing' with underage members. )
Knowing there are Jennifer Testardis out there trying to furry-cyber with little kids really makes me think twice about this. I want to get her what she wants, but, is this site more dangerous than any of the others? Well, I wrote to her parents for their input, but I'm sure they're not too familiar with Furcadia. If anyone out there in readerland knows anything about the general safety of the site, and how often people like LQ get through, please give me some input.
