Warm lizard and wet dogs
Apr. 9th, 2005 05:32 pmI got in my worry phase again today, which was weird. It's a beautiful day. I went to dance class, then went shopping. On the way home, I was thinking about Pendragon's operation coming up Tuesday and I started thinking, "What if something goes wrong? He's thirteen, not a young lizard anymore. What if Rob says we have to put him under anesthesia after all?" I told myself to shut up. Later, at home, I was looking through catalogues (go on, laugh!) and listening to some music. A song came on that is sung by my auntie in Florida, who, I mentioned a few months ago, had recently been ill. I was listening to her wonderful voice and all of a sudden I thought, "What would I do if I lost her?" I'm telling you, it's pathological.
After lunch (NutraGrain bar, pomegranate juice, and StonyField Farm yogurt that I shared with my dogs,) I got restless and decided to give the dogs a bath.
( OMG, the HORROR! The ABUSE! Call PETA! )
They hated it. Then they came inside and made my silver rug pay the price with their wet, flying black fur.
( But they are cute, so they get away with it. )
Then they pestered me to go back outside.
( Please let us back out. We would like to kill squirrels and birds and the loud neighbors. )
Afterwards, I considered worrying about Pendragon again. Then, I opened the windows in the sunroom and let him bask while I swept the floor. He was chasing me all around, trying to bite me and kill me. Seeing Pendragon in the sun, basking and launching himself at my face everytime I went by, made me feel much better. Then he dove into his mountain of food and cleaned the plate.
( Pendragon is coming to get you. )
That's butternut squash he's got hanging out of his mouth, as usual. Jeez, he really does have a big head. ^_^
Anyway, it's a warm, quiet Spring day. I've decided to just chill out and enjoy it. How's that grab ya?
