My spider died last night! I've had her for months, too! >_<


Last night night, also, I wrote up a great deal of wangst about how ( OMG WRITING IS SOOO HAAAARD! Whine! )

I hope you didn't sit through that. It was stupid and boring.

Today I did write. I sat my ever-widening butt down and opened Word6 (I hate that Microsoft Works crap program) and went for it. The stories I wrote, they are so frigging involved that it's more than a simple find and replace. The good thing is that I think the stories are strong enough to stand on their own, well the later ones, anyway (and by later I mean earlier: the Seer series and Raptor Crest.) The time travel arc needs a hell of a lot of work. The down side is that, as a fanfic writer, I really, really got into the world of canon. Which, to me, is the idea of fanfic, but now it seems to bite me in the... well, ever-widening butt at every turn. It's frustrating because you know what it is? It's having a thousand page story that is both written and unwritten. And I wrote, but I wasn't actually getting into it the way I was really getting into the FFVII fic I finished. I wrote it feeling half-hearted, as if I would go back and make it dynamic later. Like I couldn't wait to get to teh juicy stuff. That makes for bad writing, you know.

And then! Ida, ladies and gentleman. Out of the blue, this afternoon, this lovely girl swings by with a drawing out of the last chapter (so far) of Seer2. (I would have linked to it, but I haven't asked yet if it's all right to. ^_^ ) (And I say "last chapter so far" because, even though I won't contiue it as it was [oh, horror! No immediate gratification for me! ;D ] I will continue it as its own beast.) And again, she managed to capture just what I had pictured when I wrote the scene. I love when that happens, it's like people are inside my head. ^_^

So, that really gives me a kick! I love it.

And now I really do need to finish my laundry and feed the dogs, and then, I will continue to write some more. :) Yes, I will!
