la_belle_laide: (Put you in the ground)
Once in a while after I see a movie, I'll take a gander at Capalert to see them having a hissy fit over the NON CHRISTIAN CONTENT OMG!!!!11 Tonight I saw Saved (it was cute, a little boring, a little neat and tidy at the end, but amusing to me for lots of reasons,) and all the while I was thinking, "Holy Christ, Capalert is going to freak! It'll be awesome!" So I wandered on over to their site.

Before I even got to the page with the movie reviews on it, I found something else that intrigued me, even though I knew it was going to piss me off: a page on their views on same sex marriage.

To piss you all off:

All major world religions and civilizations have historically condemned the practice of homosexuality. Nothing that is now known changes the reasons for that heritage of disapproval. Millions of religious and non-religious taxpaying Americans find homosexuality abhorrent, and do not want it promoted nor condoned in discussions with their children. Finding homosexuality repulsive is a natural human instinct to protect oneself, and is common to most humans, not just a few conservatives. Within the bounds of kindness and civility, students, teachers and parents who find the behavior personally repugnant should continue to have the right to express this opinion. This is not meant to imply support for derogatory labels or insults.

and

Because of the dysfunctional, unhealthy and changeable nature of homosexuality, legitimizing it as "marriage" constitutes irresponsible and reckless public policy that endangers the future of our children and grandchildren.

I don't have enough ways to say "You bitchass bigots can bite me twice."

It scares me that people like this exist. It scares me that our current president is, in all likelihood, one of them.

And by the way. Here is the analysis of Saved. God damn, how I love to see them freak out.

ETA: OMG I almost for a second thought a woman had the right to chose! Thank god I got over that!
