Feb. 4th, 2004 02:36 pmMy dreams have been themed in the last two nights, and the theme seems to be music.
Two nights ago I had a dream that I was in a Hula ho'ike in London, and our group was going on 8th in the lineup. Before any of the performers went on, we all had to take naps. I ended up napping next to Lenny Kravitz. (??) I said to him, "Wow, I didn't know you were a Hula dancer!" And he said, "Pretty much all my life."
Well by the time I got on stage, my Hula group was gone, and I had to go and play bass guitar with the Thompson Twins. I was thinking, "That's kind of cool really, because when I was eleven I had a crush on the red-haired guy." (Which is true, I did.) Then I realized that I couldn't play bass guitar. But somehow I got through it (all the while wearing some kind of ugly, yellow raincoat with my workplace's logo on it,) and at the end of it, I was looking out over all of London and it looked a little like it always does in Peter Pan when the children fly over it.
Then we left the stage, and the red-haired guy from Thompson Twins asked me, "So how long have you been putting the Imperius Spell on your bass guitar to make it do what you want it to do?" And suddenly I remembered having done that, and how you have to aim your wand right at the wooden body of the guitar so it would absorb the spell. I told him, "Pretty much all my life." I thought he would be disappointed, but then he told me that he had always put the Imperius spell on his guitar, too, and that's why they had been so popular in the 80's." I woke up singing "Hold Me Now" and had it in my head all day yesterday.
This morning I had some really messed up dream that I was back in Disneyworld, packing to go home, but then I went on a water ride way high up, and saw that there were lots of tornadoes in the sky and decided to hold off. Then Manji and Rin from Blade were on the ride with me. I decided to be Rin for a while and I followed Manji off the ride into this little store underground which turned into Edo. I remember thinking that there was a key out of the city and that Manji had it, only he had forgotten that he had it and shoved it down his pants, and I didn't want to go and retrieve it.
Then it turned into a musical, and when Manji started singing about how he'd met Rin--in very, very bad lyrics--he sounded like Bon Jovi. So I decided to get the hell out of there.
Blade of the Immortal as a musical. Manji bursting into song with a full orchestra backing him up. I ask you.
