Blather, rinse, repeat

I suppose it would have to be much darker - it's hard to make things lighter when you're dealing with live action. It's just a question of a) how well they can adapt to that, and b) how well they can change format from a chapter-type story to a single set piece. They have their work there sort of cut out for them.
