Mother's Day list

Stuff my Mom did/can do that I haven't/can't:

Put ravioli in the boiling water without having it splash.

Raise a child.

Balance her check book without making a mistake. (EFFING ADULTHOOD, HOW DOES IT WORK?)

Have a life-long, happy relationship.

Drive through NYC.

Have endless patience with other people.

Forgive people who have royally pissed her off.

Make the best spaghetti sauce.

Cook for more than ten people.

Have self control and not eat all of the cookies/ice cream in one sitting.

Take on other people's problems without complaint even if she doesn't feel like it.


Stuff I can do that my Mom can't/hasn't done:

Kung Fu

Set a bird's broken wing.

Fix a computer.

Do a split.

Wow. Umm. So yeah. Thing is, pretty much, no matter how old I get, her list is always going to be way longer than mine.
