Three little birds (and some other stuff)
Aren't the first birds of the year always three starlings? Or at least usually?
This year it's going to be a little difficult. Of course, I have long hours of school and I'm going to tentatively ask if I could perhaps maybe once in a while bring in the sick or really starving orphans to my non-tech classes (which are the long ones, I'm there for ten hours tomorrow.) My Mom can pop on over and feed them once in a while on my super-long days, but not tomorrow because my Dad is having cataract surgery. Seriously, these birds couldn't come tomorrow? Of course not.
Sano is limping again like he does every few months, but today I found swelling on his right front leg. It feels decidedly like soft tissue swelling and decidedly not like bone, but I keep asking myself, what if I just want it to feel like that? What if I'm way off? Then I say: What are the chances he would have the exact same cancer Trisky had, in the exact same goddamn place? Pretty slim. But what if? His appointment is Wednesday morning (and Haku's bromide levels check,) and I know I won't stop thinking about it until then. Which is rather a bad thing, since I have an A&P quiz tomorrow. Isn't this just like what I went through with Haku? Let's hope that Sano has some similar good news. Although I wouldn't really call Haku's situation "good," obviously, but the outcome is doable. I just want something I can manage. Seriously! I've had about enough of this!
The only place I can really stop worrying myself to death is Kung Fu. You really can't concentrate on anything else when you're working out; also the people there are so much fun, they distract me and make me laugh and it is impossible to wind myself up into that worry-cocoon. Snark-Lit came back today which made the class very lively indeed, with lots of talk of movies, ducks, and for some reason a homosexual pterodactyl.
Oh, so anyway directly after KF I went down to pick up the starlings from the vet's where my wonderful friend Kim works, and she hadn't left yet so we and another employee there got to talking in the parking lot. Which leads me to add that it is really effing goddamn freezing cold out in this bitch. When's it gonna get warm? Damn.
I managed to download Advent Children Complete in English (can't find a fansub,) and I have to figure out a way to burn it on a disk so that it will play in a regular DVD player, like on a TV so that I can watch it on a nice big screen. Yeah, let's see when I'm going to find the time for that.
I have to get up at the asscrack of dawn tomorrow. >_<
