Animated drawing, and The Island
My first animation, go me!
Actually, I did these a few weeks ago. They are very silly.
This one has sound and a cheesy retarded ending.
This one is without sound and actually is a bit better.
They're only about 19 frames, about 3 seconds each animation. No big, huge achievement or anything, just noodling around. Took me about five hours, yo. I'm slow at these things. What really sucks is that I was so into doing it, it wasn't until after the whole thing that I looked at the original sketch
...and realized that his arm is on wrong. It doesn't even look attached, rather it looks like it belongs to someone crouching below him, out of the picture.
"Hey, watch the wind blow this feather off my finger!"
"Uhh, who are you and what are you doing down there?"
Which may explain the smile. Hee.
Or not.
In other news, I saw The Island today. I quite liked it, and not just because Ewan McGregor was in it. I mean, there were things he was in that I didn't like (*coughcough*AttackOfTheClones*Cough!*) But it was mostly exciting and interesting and lots of fun. I could, as usual, do with less drawn-out, pointless chase scenes. Man, I almsot feel insulted when movies have a long, pointless chase scene. To me, they're never exciting. And one of the ones in here was implausible to the point where I was sitting there going, "Oh, yeah right, whatever." But all in all, the movie was quite engaging. Kind of a mix between The Matrix and Final Fantasy VII. (In fact, one scene in there was disturbingly like a scene I wrote in my hugeass FFVII fic, the clone room scene in this chapter actually, complete with the cloning facility being in an underground silo, and the clones having accellerated growth and all of that. Not that my idea was original or anything. because I totally ripped it from a mental image I had from the book Coma.)
So, yes, I enjoyed the movie and I would see it again. Ewan McGregor does this eyebrow quirk that I love. He's such a joy to watch. And it's always good to see Steve Buscemi. Word to the native Long Islanders. ^_^

The hands are getting lots better. Good sense of where the thumb is, and its oppose-able-ness. And the hair has more of a natural feel. As ever, I really do like the way you draw noses.

Animating the hair was a pain in the ass, but ended up being my favorite part when it was done.
